"Origins: The Protracted Man" back on?

Like Phoenix219, I'd seen all those videos before, but am interested to hear there was one of Garth talking to Cadet Kirk. I've seen more recent shots of Garth returning from Elba II, but never saw that video from "The Protracted Man".
Found it.

Ugh. I forgot how derivative the dialogue is in this thing.

Thanks for digging it up though, if only so we can see one more example of what an atrocious actor Peters really is.

This version of the test is less interesting and dynamic than what we got in Star Trek (2009). It's flat, derivative and undramatic, whereas the test in '09 sets up Kirk's character ("I don't believe in a no win scenario"), his conflict with Spock and shows how the two men have differing philosophies. Kirk objects to the test on a philosophical level, putting Kirk in direct conflict with the person who created the test — Spock, who would have to face his own "fear in the face of danger" with the destruction of Vulcan.

The actor playing Finnegan is dead on, but why didn't someone escort him off the bridge for his unprofessionalism, unbecoming an officer, and all that? That was my initial problem with Finnegan. I could see him acting that way in a bar but not during training.

Peters continues to be creepy as all hell. He's smiling at the kid and bouncing not like he respects him but like he wants to molest young Kirk.
Thank you for saying something. I thought that I was the only one who felt that way about this video. Garth creeps me out every time.

Finnegan also creeps me out (the guy on the right looks concerned about him too).
Great acting though on the part of the guy playing Finnegan.

Too bad being creepy as hell is a natural thing for Alec, and not great acting on the part of the soon to be insane Garth.

I guess someone at NV did not want Alec Peters to have this video on his YouTube channel

Its been so long since the bad blood, I just wish they would finish it with Vic and get it out in its original vision.

I have to agree. Recasting the part of Kirk's dad and filming with trick angles seems like a lot of work. The performance is good, and that is all that should matter at the end of the day. I think the film should be finished with all the original performances left intact.

I agree, let this serve as a time capsule when enemies were allies, in a time before the epoch of Axanar

I should be seeing the reproductions of the TOS sets at Ticonderoga this weekend -- Doug Drexler is giving a tour on Saturday. If I hear any more tidbits about Origins, I'll pass them along here.

Thanks for this... I will be waiting for your update. Thanks again.
