I was talking to my mom about this (she, unlike my aunt, detests Trump). And she says "We're gonna hear this for years to come, whether he wins or not."

Think about it. I think it just might enter the annals of history even though he's just a candidate.

"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

"I'm not a crook."

"Mr. Gorbechev, tear down this wall!"

"I did not...have...sexual...relations with that woman."

"Yes we can!"

.................................................................."Grab them by the pussy."

Oy.:barf::brickwall::barf2::wtf:

Sad but true...

What I find curious is how this tape came out. Who was holding onto it for so long?

"...the opportunity he has to show what is in his heart tomorrow night."

Seriously Pence? SERIOUSLY?

What's in his heart is that he makes fun of women for having menstruation. He calls them pigs and slobs. He mocked a beauty queen for gaining weight and went on a Twitter tirade about it just last week, DAYS after the debate, because he couldn't get his mind off it.

That's what's truly in his heart, Pence. Come on, now.

What's in his heart is that tomorrow, during the debate, he'll start out calm and measured. He'll say what his handlers have told him to say. Then after about 10 minutes he'll attack Bill Clinton on his affairs, implicate Hillary about it in some way, and then get lost on some angry tangent that insults women further.

You can bet on it.

For the first time in recent history (that I recall) they are screening the debate in Australia too.

Fuck I didn't know we are a part of the American Empire.

It was in the video archives of Access Hollywood, the entertainment news show that was following Trump's guest appearance on a soap opera and whose microphone was open on the tour bus taking them there while Trump was talking to host Billy Bush (nephew of George W. and Jeb Bush and now a host of Good Morning America). A Washington Post reporter called them doing research and asked them to go back through some of their old videos of interviews and appearances featuring Trump, and that's where they found the video.

^ What Locutus said above. It was part of the archives of one of our stupid "entertainment news" shows here. The Washington Post was doing a piece on Trump and got ahold of it.

There's also stuff that was uncovered about Trump's time on "The Apprentice" where he talked about the female contestants' breasts, which ones he wanted to sleep with, and asking the male contestants which ones they'd sleep with. In front of everyone...the contestants and the camera crew. Apparently he is on camera saying this, in unused footage from the show's boardroom segments.

The production company will not release the footage. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because they signed nondisclosure agreements during their time on the show.

Ah ok I did not know that.

Ah that's very interesting, and not surprising given this bit of footage.

The only Apprentice series I watched was the one that had Omarossa in it and I remember all the hate she generated from both fans of the show and critics. She was really outspoken. I liked her

My bet is he gets baited into a 2-3 minute near-frothing rant on the video and actually says "pussy" in front of a live national audience.

At least I'll win drinking bingo if he does.

OMG no amount of damage control will happen if that occurs.

Close. I believe he just agreed that a radio shock jock could call her that...
Yeah. Howard Stern asked Trump if he could call Ivanka a "piece of ass." Trump said yes, and bragged about her having "the best body."

He said twice in two separate interviews that he'd be dating her if she wasn't his daughter.

That's a whole level of sick.

My translation of that is that if morality over her being his daughter wasn't in the way he'd try dating and having her. eek

Been seeing rumours about the RNC replacing Trump.

It's too late for that. Here in Florida the first Vote by Mail ballots were dropped on Tuesday and we've already received votes from military overseas. You can't change the ballot once people have already voted.

GOP is stuck with this lemon. Next time do some homework before picking a foul mouthed blowhard to be your nominee.

In the presidential election, it might actually be possible for the GOP to replace Trump, even though the first votes are already mailed, because as we all know by now, the voters don't actually vote for a candidate, but for the electors who then will vote in the Electoral College.

I don't think this is going to happen, but it is possible.

The GOP can replace a vacated position due to death, declination (decline or resign), or "otherwise," but cannot initiate the process. Trump would have to quit, and the "otherwise" would require a such a long legal process to determine what "otherwise" could possibly mean, that there is no time to explore such a precedent before the election itself. And they run the real risk of damaging themselves through such a cavalier bypass of the democratic process when a party can so easily replace a candidate put there by The People. History has shown the danger of convenience and expediency for one party when it later comes back to bite them at the hands of the other; a nation of law is weakened by the attempt.

Josh Putnam, a University of Georgia lecturer and expert on the machinations of the parties said, "Let’s be clear here: The rule is intended to fill vacancies, not to lay the groundwork for a replacement."

Rule 9:
The Republican National Committee is hereby authorized and empowered to fill any and all vacancies which may occur by reason of death, declination, or otherwise of the Republican candidate for President of the United States or the Republican candidate for Vice President of the United States, as nominated by the national convention, or the Republican National Committee may reconvene the national convention for the purpose of filling any such vacancies.
