Spoilers Possible Concept Art?

I like the flying castle approach. I like that it's different to the endless --ENDLESS-- ruckbucket birds of prey/battlecruiser designs that haven't changed in 250 years of in-universe history.

I'm hoping Discovery will be a reboot in all but name, so a radically different look works for me.

Doesn't look like a style of ship humanoids would come up with. It could work as a pre-historic Klingon ship or better yet, the Hur'q. Say for instance the Klingons became a spacefaring race, during the equivalent of their middle ages... and instead of developing tech, they plundered those who came to invade Kronos.

No unfortunately. It's all new people. Production Design by Mark Worthington. And Stephen Paisley, Marina Abramyan, Amro Attia and Sam Michlap in the Art Department.

At least Kevin Quattro who is the Visual Effects CG Supervisor is a Star Trek "veteran".
This is the best thing that could happen. As talented as they are, the show needs a new look.

Ironic since it's human designers that came up with it.

If they came up with it without following function, deliberately or otherwise, it could still look as though it was designed for functionality to a non humanoid race.

A bit like those benches at bus stops. With no tail or third lateral buttock with which to grip, it's really easy to keep sliding off in exactly the way liquids seem to not do.
This is magnified for those with little legs as they can't push back the floor to fight the frictionless surface.

The aliens are here, and they have worked for TfL a very long time.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I do agree Star Trek: Discovery should have a fresh look. I was thinking more of an advisory role for veteran designers. For a little bit of continuity :)

These were leaked, and promptly removed, a few months ago, at the time Mark Worthington was announced as the production designer.
What was most intriguing about them was that they refer to a Klingon sarcophagus. That sounds like the crew(s) encounter a long-lost ancient Klingon relic that sparks some kind of mystery. Maybe Starfleet and the Klingons have to work together on that mystery or maybe they are in competition. It could be something like the TNG episode "The Chase," but as a series. That could be pretty cool.

Very possible. Remember, this is the same Bryan Fuller who wrote Barge of the Dead on VOY, an episode largely set on what could be called a "Klingon sarcophagus". With Fuller's history of doing shows about death and the afterlife, it's as good a guess as any.
