ACTUAL new DSC uniforms

I agree, I figure it'll be a utilitarian look. Different from the pilot which just makes sense in terms of modern cinematography and the people directing but it'll feel era appropriate. I personally hope they have something similar to the 1701 uniform I worked on for the 2240's re-imagining.

Something like that top, paired with military-style black BDU pants and boots would look good to me.

I hope you are kidding. We don't need to see TNG-style manskirts, either.

As for what I'd like to see, is something more like the Cage, or Where No Man Has Gone Before: lower collars same color as the shirt, more muted golds, reds and pastel blues. Black pants and boots, for male and female characters. We don't need $1000 Gucci turtle neck sweaters.

Keep it basic. Keep it utilitarian. Keep it real world. But most of all, keep it consistent with what came before.

Agreed.

The uniforms seem like the one area where it's easiest to make a concession to what has come before. Especially, when you think about the relative sturdiness and variety The Cage-era uniforms had compared to the uniforms from say TOS and TNG. They hold up pretty well, aside from the uniform patches, which I hope they make unique to the ship.

Also the environmental jackets they had on the cage were pretty damn cool looking.
