In the world of Star Trek, that takes only minutes. Remember how fast Archer is able to figure out the controls of an alien ship he sees for the first time?
Oh, the DEAR!!! What was I thinking? You're just so friendly with everybody, that it just feels like I've known you, forever. But I do miss startrek.com and I never would've abandoned it, but they shut down their forums, so the choice was made for me, unfortunately. Again, a lot of really friendly people were on there and it was a lot of fun, for me. With the exception of a very few feminazi's who were drawn to the boards, I really enjoyed that site.And 2takesfrakes, I AM a lady, but I don't think I ever belonged to Startrek.comI just joined up TrekBBS about two years ago.
I am one of the ones joining the forum recently - because it gets quite lonely in the other Trek community I am a member of - in there, all are fans of TNG and DS9, nobody to talk to about ENT or the rest

Strange, right? But this bunch are really die hard TNG and DS9 fans. They would discuss VOY but TOS only a bit, not much, mostly in connection / comparison with the nuTrek. They certainly never discuss ENT.
When they do gathering everyone would be dress in TNG/DS9 uniforms. Oh they are fun bunch but I just needed an ENT forum

Oddly, I find Travis more memorable than usual in that episode. He wasn't just staring into space on the bridge, but was being deployed as "the muscle". Strong and silent - he plays that well.

Wow, this is the first I've heard of that! I never posted there, but it's kinda sad they got rid of the boards.
Oh, yes ... CBS swore up & down, right hand on The Holy Bible, swearing to my Personal Lord & Saviour that they would NOT - indeed, had NO intentions to - close the boards. Why this epic denial, I haven't a clue. None of us did. I suspect, however, that it had to do with advertising commitments, which peppered the site ... including the boards. But, again, that's just me guessing.
At the same time these denials were happening, The Rumour Mill kept reminding us that CBS had already committed to a timetable, closing the boards - which turned out to be accurate, to my surprise ... and chagrin. It was a very charming novelty having the OFFICIAL Star Trek site hosting boards and therein lied their main attraction. But a lot of great people were on there who made me laugh. As an example, some of the women on the site liked teasing me about my Riker-fandom. To this end, they actually had the temerity to start a poll entitled, "Would You Rather Marry Riker, or an Ordinary Stick?"
... The stick won.

Well, he got his shining moments in a handful of episodes. The rest of the time he might as well not having been there.
I wanted the Gorn to just look like the dude from "Arena". Make it a dude in a suit, make it CGI, whatever. Just make it look like"Arena" and not some velociraptor in space.
I liked how they were reminiscent of the engineering corridors of the Enterprise in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
On the Enterprise video extras for the season 4 dvds they have an interesting feature of building a Constution class ship.The Engineering set and the corridors. In A Mirror Darkly. And the Bridge sets were made from original Blueprints and I thought it was neat to see how they recreated them .

I think it's only normal, if you're going to make people pay for "These are the Voyages" then you need to give them a little something as compensation.
Am I the only one who thought Scott struggled a bit with Archer's being a nasty Man, in "A Mirror Darkly"? He's making angry faces and raising his voice, some, but... I'm not sure I'm really buying it.
