Beside of the exploration of the ship i have also written a Story.

What is the Story about

I had the idea that "You" (the player) is going to play an Ensign and
this is how it begins.

Stardate 57435.5

Its an ordinary day in the delta quadrant.
You are doing repairs on the outer hull when suddenly a subspace is
opening in front of the Voyager and a bright light full of energy
is hitting the ship. The impact is so strong that you loose your
consciousness for a moment while everything get surrounded by
that white light. In the next moment you feel that you are no
longer in space rather on a planet. The light dissapears and you
are staying right in the middle of a field. Its a sunny day.
The birds are singing and you can here the wind blow. Everything is so peacefull.

Not far from you there is a farm. You are walking to the
farm and you can clearly hear Kids laughing but you cant see anyone.
And while you are searching for someone you are walking straight into the barn.

In the middle of the barn there is an ambos (anvil) and a hammer.
You feel like you have to use the hammer so you are grabbing the hammer and start
hitting the ambos. You hear the the sound when the hammer hits the ambos (anvil).
It makes "ding", "ding", "ding" and while you are hitting the ambos the sound changes
after each hit and becomes more and more to a "beep" , "beep", "beep" like an alarm.
Then suddenly everything dissapears and you are waking up in your broken spacesuit.
The glass of the helmet has microfractures and the oxygenlevel is low. You notice
that you have been pushed from the Voyager several hundred feeds away. The Voyager
is drifting and looks almost dead. Most of the lights are off. You are calling the ship but noone
is answering. The oxygenlevel is critical so you are starting the boosters (rocket launcher) from your spacesuit
and flying to one of the docking ports. Finaly you reach the Voyager and once you entered it you notice
that the main power is offline. The console panels on the wall are still working and showing several
damages on board but no lifeforms. You are heading to the sickbay as you are hoping that the doctor
is still there. After more investigation you notice that the Voyager was somehow transported to an unknown
sector of the space. Finaly you reach the sickbay. Is the Doctor still there.

Lets see if he or she is lucky :)

So this is the beginning of my story. I hope you like it. The rest of the story will stay a secret.

I always liked stories about timestraveling, new worlds, new species
and that why im putting all of this into my game.

You will discover 13 new worlds and your mission is to find the crew and rescue all of them.
You will rescue an old good friend from TNG (this really has to be fixed), solve alot of riddles and you are going to fly
alot with the Deltaflyer

A good friend of mine has done some illustrations which i made a clip out of it.

LLAP

Nice start. Reminds me of the Elite Force beginning. Which is not a bad thing. Liked the story line in that game.

Hi Voyager fans, here is another update of the Flyer. Some of you might wonder why im retexturing the Flyer as i had allready textured the Flyer in the past. Well last time i did the texturing in a rush this time im actually taking care of all those small details in the hull. Im also trying to get the colors correct which takes alot of time for tweaking. Once im adding it to the game engine i will add nice metalic shader. Wish you all a nice day

another quick test. i was curious if Ue4 can handle so many polygons at once so i throwed some of my meshes together into the engine and it seems like ue4 has no problems with it at all. It is also intersting to see how big the Voyager actually is and with that way i can see if the polygon resolution of an object is high enough. My next test will include all my meshes connected with corridors

Stranded on a planet with the deltaflyer.
here is another quick test. This time im testing landscapes with the deltaflyer. For the test i used a landscape scene from 3D artist
KRZYSZTOF TEPER. Thank you for that. I really have fun playing around with it. After my texturing session im going to build my own landscapes. What you see here is realtime rendering in the gameengine.

Thank you Akiraprise, do you know if it is possible to move this thread to the gaming section?
I can move it if you wish. I left it here as the VOY forum is a bit busier traffic wise, and wanted some of the general posters to see it. Either forum works though. :techman:

Ok if you think it should stay here then leave it as it is. Thank you
