STC Ep. 7: "Embrace The Winds" speculation and discussion....

^^ Doesn't mean the ship is lost. Maybe the Captain just did something wrong.

Another unlucky starship. The Hood this time, and I'm guessing the lady in gold is her captain. Leading to another 'Court Martial' situation on a Starbase, with Admiral Wilma and the Vulcan Commodore overseeing and Kirk in the Areel Shaw position?

Please tell me that ain't the Nexus...
Nice!!! :techman:

Maybe the ship mentioned at the start of EP6? Why else would they mention that? Maybe it's the "plasma jet"?

Clare Kramer was wearing commander stripes in the other photos we've seen.

If they keep losing ships, that might explain why the Enterprise is the only starship available to intercept V'ger.

Well it may be "canon" but I always found hat part of STTMP hard to believe.

"Mr. Scott, an alien object of unbelievable destructive power is less than three days away from this planet. The only starship in interception range is the Enterprise. Ready or not, she launches in twelve hours."

I think, at the time, the idea was the Enterprise was the only ship fast enough (with the new warp engines) to get to V'Ger and still have time left over to figure something out/do something before it reached Earth. This thing was burning up the star lanes to get to Earth, at top warp speed; Every other ship out there was too slow and would either burn up their engines trying to reach V'Ger, reach it too late or reach it just as it was tearing into the Solar System. Plus, as was seen with the then-brand-new Klingon ships, V'Ger would've gone through any other Starfleet ship like it was made of tinfoil; the Enterprise's new shields/armor might - might - hold up to the Lightning Balls O' Death.

According to this tweet from Grant Imahara (Sulu), he was just filming in Georgia this past week.

Perhaps episode 8 has completed principal photography?

While other shwos announce their filming dates CON seem to keep it on the low for most of the time, like not make a big thing about it. Which is good, I wonder if they're doing 9, 10 and 11 too very soon?

Vic was making it sound like that was his intention in recent interviews. I wonder if they're gonna shoot an episode each month until 11 is in the can?

It'll be cool to know the series is 'in the can' by the end of the year, will they manage it? Or havt to do one or two after Chritstmas?

They've done pretty well to keep pretty much the whole cast and schedule their get togethers for filming

One reason for accelerating the schedule is to get out of DSC's way. But that's certainly not the only or main reason; everything has suffered damage from Hurricane A****r.
That would make sene - they are in talks with CBS and they don't want to step on Discovery's toes
