Definitely liking the shuttle design. I like how you've incorporated the look and feel of the shuttles from the Kelvin Timeline here.

Shuttle:
Added in aft details and the hatchway. Lower door is a bifold affair so it will be flat then have fold out steps allowing it to clear those whatevers underneath. Lower red strip is a not sure if I will keep item. Just some marking lights, nacelle details, a few decals, maybe some panels, and then textures to go. I have considered doing something else with the bussards though, like a different collector element as these are many times smaller than the parent ships bussards. Maybe a domed version of those 50s air diverters.

Awesome work!!!!! I am really loving this. I love what you have incorporated in the designs. This latest ship looks like the forerunner for the new TV series, but with a much better representation and thought. Great work!!!! I can not wait to see more!!!! :) :) :)

Other than the fact they are bus vs car in size I think the jjverse shuttles are a good representation of the classic shuttles. I think this guy was originally made to go with my Lethe variation ships but those are long stalled redos of very old models. So I will likely stuff these into any tosish scene.

Wedgetrek: I am torn between forcing more TOS era touches or maybe some hints of TMP. With a more plated ENT like look along with my own take on TOS.

update:
The air vent/diffuser idea as a singular collector frame inside vs the cluster seen on larger ships.

How it looks like with the dome off. Materials are temp as I am considering flat white vs the metallic as it bounces the lum better inside the domes.

Great job on the shuttle, always enjoy seeing your various takes on them as much as I do your larger ships, I agree with what you mean about the shuttle designs in the jjverse even if the current generation of shuttles are more Runabout sized.

Looking forward to seeing how both this and the main ship continue to evolve, there has always been something I have been interested in with the McQuarrie Enterprise concept.

Never looked at a X wing gear to notice.

The shuttle is just a generic to work with most of my TOS and preTOS stuff. She was originally made to go with the LETHE variants.

Update:

Ok redone the inboard details. More to come in that area I think as I am considering some sort of baffles over or around the opening as well as some radiator housings.
Last image is a cutaway showing interior volume and spaces. The side with that "squatter" will be the head other side will be storage both would have access to mechanicals. Area near the aft windows is a re-configurable area default is a bench seat.

Thanks!

Some interior stuff to see through those windows.
I probably wont super detail this much past maps for things and maybe model monitors or something. Mostly the console and side walls are seen from outside.

Measurements
24'8.5" L
35'9.5" W
12'8.5" H

Something yet to be fine tuned. Not sure if it is obvious or not but I did shift the side doors back. It does mean I have to re-cut the side decal but I was not fully happy with it anyhow.

I truly love the markings so far. This shuttle looks awesome!!!!!! I am looking forward to when you add the registries. :)

REG that is the hard part as I have to come up with a ship name and Shuttle name. HAH. For this thing's use I do have to decide on which TOSish era ship I want to station it at. Likely I might texture some of that in so I can change it out quickly. Then again I have considered texturing the decals too as then I can do paint wear.

For the heck of it I cloned one of the aft windows forward. I am still meh about it as fewer places for possible flash exposure the better but then again you could justify windows having fast acting filters so they can control exposure.

Interior before the window

Yes it is a lot of cloning but I figure I will likely never render a interior shot and this is just to support exterior view. Displays are just temp as I will have to make my own or source free use images.

Layout to accommodate the window.

How it looks with that added window from the outside. Also a view of an idea for panels. I do not really want to do a heavy frame or heavy panels on the hull. I imagine this thing is more of a large slab or molded hull. But I do feel I need to add something in detail or as signs of manufacturing and ability to maintain it.

Well back at this thing. SO means I am taking a bit of a break from that shuttle. It is kind of odd going back to a old mesh and figuring out where you were headed when you dumped it. Looking this thing over there is a mess of things I want to do differently but I just do not have the time to blank out large sections of the ship. One being the short aft end, it is very compact compared to the front half. But then again Klingon ships have that odd look to them in perspective vs top down or from the side as perspective distorts size. I do think i will have to adjust the color of this thing to have it's details be more visible to the viewer.

I swear this is too much starship sexiness for one thread!

Good stuff, Fed and Klink. :)
