Until I get a good game controller, all I'm doing is just flying about the planet I landed on, and finding enough resources to keep on flying around the planet. It's fun just trying to find all the stuff you're supposed to find on the first planet. I still got two discoveries and a couple of locations to get to. I got into space once, but died, and the game restarted me on my planet, which was fine. Not going back into space before I get that game controller.

Don't make the mistake of trying to play this game on a PC with just a mouse and a keyboard. LOL

Really bad title.

What the actual tech does is improve the speed of rendering rough but shiny surfaces. Previously, such rendering could not be done in real time but with this technique, real time rendering of such glints might be possible. Incorporating this into a game wouldn't make it 100x faster. In fact it is the opposite, as incorporating this tech into a game would make the game renders slower. The upside is rough but shiny objects will seem more realistic.

So, you really cant sell those Atlas Orbs you get when you follow the Atlas path...
So i had to restart again...
Might try upgrading slots a bit quicker, both exosuit and ship...
Thankfully the second system id a Gek system which has a little exploit with crashed ships...

That's all I have. I think I'm doing ok. I won 1 space battle against 3 ships. Almost won the second battle but lost after taking out the first 2. Almost had that 3rd bugger, too but couldn't recharge my shields that last time

This is basically the Star Trek game I always wanted. I remember playing Star Raiders back in the 80's, wishing there was more to it. This is what I always imagined.

I played it again tonight, looks like some small nags I had have been patched, sentinels aren't as aggressive, life support lasts longer.....definitely helps with the chill factor....2 steps in the right direction, realized planet I'm on has a ton of gold deposits, made almost 2 million in 2 hours, I'm probably gonna grind it some more and then start looking for stuff to blow my cash on. Been mining gold and just enough other stuff to keep my stuff recharged and haven't been attacked by sentinels....they just seem to ignore me as I mine, explored a cave, got ganged up on by some aggressive crab thingies (Now named Spiked shelled ass crabs) and barely made it out alive....so won't be venturing into caves on this world (named Sha Ka Ree) anymore.....anyway, a bit better, I can start to see me playing at least a couple of times a week now, but still holding out hope for more changes....also seems to run smoother now than it did, on Med/High settings...(I have a NVidia 960m chip in my laptop) Hopefully things continue to improve

I feel really torn about this game. I am intrigued by the idea but there's so much FUD on the internet about "whether or not you can meet friends" inside the game and go explore together.

And so much hate and bile being spewed at the devs....

So guys what are your experiences in the game?

It simply isn't a game for everyone. I haven't met anyone else, in game. But, I haven't left the starting system yet. I've seen groups of animals together. I've had animals attack me. I've seen day/night cycles on the planet I'm on.

This isn't Grand Theft Auto V. It isn't rampaging violence. It isn't you and your buddies getting together to make mayhem. I enjoy the solitary experience. I am enjoying walking across planets just looking for supplies, language markers and monoliths.

I haven't left my original solar system just yet, but I've been to four planets in it. I'm up to 32 slots on my suit, 20 on my ship, and 10 on my multi-use tool. My tool is outfitted for mining, not combat, so I'll need to find a few more upgrades for my tool. But, for now, I can bring down a mountain of gold in about three minutes. LOL

Talk about a gold rush? The moon I'm on has mountains of it, EVERYWHERE. If this was real life, I'd be a rich, rich man!

Don't go into it looking for a multiplayer experience. It either doesn't have one at all, or it's some kind of "mingleplayer" thing in which you can't meet friends anyway.

This is a solitary, single-player experience.
