Prime universe USS FRANKLIN (WIP)

So I figured if beyond took place in the Prime Universe the Franklin would look like this, Still a WIP, but I'm proud of it!

it is, but it isn't a prime ship, they got the time all wonky on that plot line.. I won't get into it because that whole reeboot franchise makes me feel like my head's gonna explode

Franklin is part of the NX program and a MACO starship, that's all shown in the movie.

The Kelvin was fine, the 2009 film wasn't that bad, it's when they reinvent something to fill a plot hole. all the movies did that, but this series of movies is just crazy with it.

The Frank-Lin (I was corrected on that already) was too less advanced for it's registry and classification.

Is that a shuttle bay door on the rear-facing hull? It's t he only part of your design that I don't love.

The Franklin in Beyond was said by its designer to be too small for shuttles.

I swear when I saw it in the movie it had an aft shuttlebay, could be wishful thinking, but that's where I got the idea

I like it. It's like a pre-TOS evolution of the NX-class. With further evolution, it could be a kind of ENT-ified version of the Saladin/Hermes, only instead of a single long Constitution-class-style nacelle mounted underside, Franklin would have twin smaller nacelles (shorter length) swept up from behind the saucer. Neat concept, and it looks more like a plausible deep space vessel than the Franklin seen in JJ movie publicity shot.
