given this is page 1130, what better place to pay homage to the perfect TOS-era on-a-shoestring-budget host for this game, probably a model for TOS computer concepts (flippen der switchen, watchen das blinkinlights ;-) ), not to mention batcave, time tunnel, etc. computers:

or, if you want to go all out, a 360

It's the future, man!

Can I ask the legal minded and journalistic folks here, what do they think of how CBS/Paramount are keeping very quiet in the media about the lawsuit, while Peters seems to still be doing interviews where he shows his charming persona, and which may be convincing to the layman?

Obviously, the sensible option should be to say as little as possible, but I'd really like to hear what people like Carlos or Madam Justice think.

Well, I'm neither lawyer nor journalist, but I think CBS is listening to the advice of their legal team over their public relations team, and I think that's a bit of a mistake. They could have and should have gotten out in front of this a lot better. It will be a huge mistake if, assuming things go the way I think they will, they win the case in court and then never come out an explain their actions to a general public who have had nothing to read/hear but the Alec Peters spin for a year or more.

I think by saying nothing they are driving AP nuts. How dare they treat him as if he wasn't important!

Well if we want to be authentic, we also need the "two blinking red lights" prop:

I don't see the relevance. The "layman" won't be deciding the legal merits of the case. And there's no evidence of some massive public groundswell for Axanar. There's a small--and likely dwindling--group of die-hards who won't admit defeat. Even the media outlets supposedly charmed by LFIM (a.k.a. Reason) are just using this case to push their own agendas independent of Axanar.

I'm not a legal person, but I agree. Axanar is becoming less and less relevant as time goes on. Star Trek Beyond and the new series are going to supplant it. That and the normal news cycle.

It's just not going to sustain broad interest, no matter how hard Peters tries.

C/P are the smart ones. The more the Axanar people rail, the more their statements can be dissected and questioned where it matters; and that will be at the actual trial (assuming no settlement is reached of course.)

10 quatloos tho says he will make an entertaining run for it at STLV...

I'm fine with it because I don't like sushi.

Did you know it's just raw fish? What is the world coming to?
Raw fish with rice. Actually the better option is sashimi, which doesn't inflict the rice on you, and you can totally also get beef sashimi. I suppose I could graduate to being a sashimi-only guy... yeah, that could work. :techman:

I'm feeling better about this. Thanks, man. :D
