I assume Axanar raised over $1million dollars from more than 2000 donors. Can we assume therefore that some of the support for Axanar has decreased now since they haven't all signed the petition? Plus I assume this petition may include people who didn't donate to Axanar.Man, that groundswell of support for Axanar must have CBS / Paramount shaking in their boots. I mean, with tens of thousands, no I mean hundreds of thousands of fans demanding CBS give Axanar freedom, how can CBS say "No"?
Jun 28, 2016 — Hello Everyone, and thank you for signing this petition! 250 Signatures!
Jun 30, 2016 — We have passed 500 Signatures!
Jul 4, 2016 — Thank you to all of our recent signatures! 1,500 Signatures!
Aug 2, 2016 — Thank you all SO much for your support! We have just hit 2000 signatures!
At this rate, CBS will be buried in petitions by the time the next movie hits the theaters. They'll just have to pay attention then.

Well, yeah, but consider how many people here have said they donated money to the project back in the day and now wish they hadn't.I assume Axanar raised over $1million dollars from more than 2000 donors.

Meanwhile, Fuller is hinting STD will be set in the pre-TOS era. Y'know, just like that hypothetical Axanar film. These true believers aren't going to film squat (w/no actors signed & a legal hammer hanging over their heads among other things).........but thanks to this tweet, they still have people willing to donate to their fund for sushi & blow........

One thing that kind of scares me..........given that tweet and then reports that STD will be set in the same period as Axanar, I'm kind of wondering whether LFIM & his cabal will launch a counter-suit claiming that C/P stole his idea (that wasn't really his to begin with - all of this highly improbable, I know)..........
I doubt he'll launch a lawsuit. It would cost him a ton of money and he will lose. No, he will rant on Twitter. Which wouldn't cost anything.
Ah, like the guy who sued Paramount and Nick Meyer claiming they stole his idea for Star Trek VI. Yup, that was a thing that happened.
Based upon any reading, though, Segal's screenplay Inside the Klingon Empire stands in stark contrast to The Undiscovered Country. Whereas The Undiscovered Country expressed a tale of the efforts of enemy empires to beat swords into plowshares and to forge a fundamentally new relationship founded on peace, Inside the Klingon Empire expresses a story of territorial aggrandizement which fuels violent confrontation among the nations. Apropos for the thorough dissimilarity between the two works, The Undiscovered Country concludes with the foil of conspirators who had been bent on disrupting the peace process, while Inside the Klingon Empire ends on the brink of an all-out war among the empires, precipitated by the escalation of hostilities throughout the story.
It's been about a month since Alec went into self-imposed radio silence.
You jest but we all know that that suggestion isn't beyond the realms of possibility."30-minute Skype staring session with Boomer on our half-finished bridge set."
