http://www.aintitcool.com/node/75876 Article claims that Fuller will spoiler it on 8/10 and that the registry number is a major hint about the time setting.
If this is true, they are rebooting again; not good.... Does anybody know, if this guy is reliable...?
I consider every trek show which does not advances on the timeline as a reboot. Just like Enterprise, STD will cover stories which will redefine the history of previous series/movies --> Reboot
Excited for more details so we can continue to wildly speculate. However, if it's about Section 31 and the ship's number is 1031 that would be pretty f***ing cheesy.
Well I've wanted post-Nemesis all along, but I've warmed to the idea of it being set in the "past." Just be good and make sense within the laws of the Trek-verse. If it was going to be set back in the timeline, between Enterprise and TOS would be the most interesting.
So you are saying it would be wise to place the series right after the only modern Trek show which got cancelled? I beg to differ...
What are the chances these are the uniforms and Faran Tahir as Captain Robau will be our pilot's guest star?
I don't care at all about stories that happen during TOS or the movie era. I also don't care that much about seeing what's going on between TUC and TNG. I find the era right after the formation of the Federation more interesting if we're not advancing the story. Has nothing to do with Enterprise and the show wasn't cancelled because of the time it was set.
Halloween in 1031AD. The series will consist of 24 one hour long episodes or 32 forty-five minute episodes.
I'd love a 'early days of the Federation' show. Remember all the talk about connecting to The Undiscovered Country? Perhaps what Fuller ment was a cold war feeling? Perhaps a big deal would be a cold war between the Federation and the Klingons?
