Has Discovery brought you back to Trekbbs?

For me it has, as the new Trek movies haven't really inspired me enough to want to return and post about them. I prefer the
look and feel of the past Trek series to that of the new movies.

Anyway, Discovery looks like it will be the type of series I have been waiting for (Enterprise didn't work for me), so I'm hoping it will, indeed, be so!

I never leave. It's cold and scary out there in the real world.

Truthfully, Discovery has me hopeful for the future of Trek following the recent trek into darkness, plus BBS has all the rumours and information on the new series in one place!

Yes, the darker look of the movies isn't my cup of tea, either, so I'm hoping Discovery will be 'lighter' and more 'personable', as was the case with the previous series. I think, however, that Discovery will have that 'dark' look to it, but, hopefully, not as much as in the movies.

To a degree, yes. I'll never post as much as I used to again, I don't have time for it. BUT, as long as things don't get Old School ENT Forum-y, or regulars don't start ripping into people like piranhas for voicing the "wrong" opinion, then I'll stick around. Even when I was a fan of whatever was being put out, like the 2009 film, some of what I saw on here in the old days was too much. I don't know how it is now but, back then, both sides were just as bad as each other.

Yes, the early 2000's were an interesting time around here, that's for sure!

Hopefully, Discovery will be a uniting force after the long hiatus!

I haven't really left, but for years I mostly lurked anyway. I found the DVD releases and then especially this year with Netflix, I've been back again and again. Having new films helps, and also Discovery will definitely have my attention.

The last time I actively posted about trek was on trekweb. I apparently registered here last November but just logged in recently due to the new teaser. Bring on more TV trek!.

I had "been on a break" since 2007. The Axanar drama sucked me back here in January.

I registered here in 2008, but didn't post anything and indeed didn't really visit. The new show brought me back. Though I maybe a newbie in forum terms, I've been watching Star Trek for well over 20 years.

Discovery didn't bring me back to TBBS, what brought me back was the desire to watch the crazy as Trek fans yell at each other about how ugly/beautiful the ship is, how it MUST be in the Prime/Nuniverse, how it will be a tragedy if they don't show muckymuck or if the DO show muckymuck but BEFORE the third season because he was in exile until 2317.....

I did't come for the show. I came for the shit show.

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave...

We'll have none of that, thank you. There's a good lad.

I never left.

And it's not like we need a new Trek show or movie to find things to talk and argue about. There are the old episodes and movies, the books (ahem), and all the other stuff we talk about in the General SF and Media forums.

I must say it has. I think I stopped posting here around ENT. Discussing which show is better ad nasseum isn't my thing and the new movies are in my opinion dumbed down for lowest common intelligence. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Okay, maybe I could have come on a bit softer. Just leave out the Eagles, Creed, CCR and Nickelback and I promise you no more snapping ;)
No, no, I meant :
