Just for clarification: Chang, Valeris, Admiral West, etc. of Star Trek VI fame all had the same agenda, motive, means for achieving said goal and were not in open conflict with each other during the film so I summoned them up as one group. Though Christopher Plummer's and Kim Cattrall's performances would deserve their individual mentioning

It struck me how much more threatening Krall was over Ruafo. They had a few similarities, but Krall's mannerisms and body language made him much more intimidating than the almost-cartoonishly sinister Ruafo. I love F. Murray Abraham, but he was still F. Murray Abraham underneath all that makeup. I thought Idris Elba had the right ferocity but also balance of intelligence and evil patience, and thus more of an imposing and commanding stage presence, despite even heavier makeup.

Whale probe for sure. Although it isn't really an antagonist. It is the most creative "thing" out of all the Star Trek movies.

Benedict Cumberpatch was an underrated Khan. Sure, he wasn't the first Khan, but he was really intensely evil and violent.

He crushed Admiral Marcus's skull and spoke with an evil British accent.

No disrespect to Ricardo Montroban. He was a playful, muscular, smart, and pre-planning Khan.

If anything, Benedict Cumberpatch's portrayal of Khan is overrated. He's generic bad guy that punches really hard.

Ricardo Montalbán's performance is classic and still remembered to this day. No one will remember Cumberpatch's performance decades from now.

Still don't rate TWOK Khan as an effective antagonist. If Kirk had raised his shields in TWOK then Khan would never have had the advantage he did.
