Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Probably not in a flashback, as one of the pictures is a Tony Stark bio pic.

ETA-- on the other hand, can you imagine being the poor guy who does the biopic on Tony Stark before he becomes Iron Man?

Means there be a sequel! Simon Williams keeps working.

It's funny, I've been doing a Marvel rewatch this summer, and tonight I watched Guardians of the Galaxy. WIth all the superhero movies that have come out in the last two years, I almost forgot how great this film was, and I'm wondering if the marketing should start for the sequel anytime soon. I read Comic Con brought out a trailer tonight. Hopefully it appears online soon.

I think tonight was a great night to be reminded how fun GOTG really was.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't been more active after the big reveal last night.
Kurt Russell is playing Ego, The Living Planet, and he's Star Lord's dad. We also saw his costume this morning. So it sounds to me like he either was a planet and is now in human form, or can change back and forth.

Nice. A lot of people make fun of the Stargate movie, but Kurt was far from being the problem with that movie, he was one of the only things going for it. Seeing him in a big screen scifi adventure again is pretty cool.

:brickwall:

This is pretty stupid, and honestly probably lowers my excitement for the movie a lot. Its an MCU movie so I'll still watch it, and it could still be a great movie, but Gunn is going to have to really justify this, and I say that as someone who happily accepts a lot of goofy comic book stuff.

Some pretty big reveals there on ComicCon.... Makes you wonder why so much is spoiled already.

As for Ego being his dad.... I never read the comics, so it might be completely different than the backstory there, but even in the comics, backstories changes all the time. So I don't really care if somethings get changed for the movies.
