I laughed really loudly when he grinned and said "whadja do?"Now, that's the Spock and Bones kinda scene I've been wanting to see.

There is now a 40 second actual clip on the Star Trek Facebook page (sorry, I'm not sure how to link to the video directly.)

"A great captain knows sacrifice, Kirk". I remember in STIII, when Admiral Morrow does not give him back Enterprise, and explicitly orders him not to return to Genesis. I think we wiil see something similar.
The Washington Post asked eight prominent illustrators to design reimagined posters for some of this summer’s biggest films. Martin Gee, the senior art director at Time Magazine, was asked to tackle YOMYOMF Founder Justin Lin’s next film, STAR TREK BEYOND, and chose to put John Cho’s Sulu front and center:
I don't know. Kirk also mentions a rescue mission in the clip, which makes me believe they are ordered to look for survivors from the Franklin, however it got to where it is (and now having gotten back to that area of space after all those years)."A great captain knows sacrifice, Kirk". The Franklin is the big mystery in the story to me. I think it's crucial the reason it's there is credible and it doesn't just "show up" as a convenient coincidence so they can get off the planet.
I found the line odd, actually. Given what he did in STID, Kirk should know sacrifice. Guess we'll need to see the entire scene to get the real meaning and context.
He says (as a toast), "To perfect eyesight and a full head of hair."I can't quite make out what Bones says there at the beginning.
