A doctor from a non-humanoid species, with literally a hard shell?a hard-shelled ship's doctor
That wouldn't be a bad thing.A doctor from a non-humanoid species, with literally a hard shell?
a hard-shelled ship's doctor
First pick was the post-TOS/pre-TNG time period. Could even set it on either the Enterprise B, or the early Enterprise C.
Second pick would have been post Romulan War.
While an occasional government episode (or just a reference) would be okay, a show primarily about how the federation government was formed would quickly lose my interest.how the Earth allies unite and form a government
This has a lot of dramatic potential.a Romulan War/Birth of the Federation show
The Next Next Generation per se.Post-Nemesis, but done in such a way that new viewers don't need to know what Nemesis was (or, say, the Dominion War.) Primarily this late so they can both freely redesign the future to fit with 2010 expectations of what the future would look like (PADDs were science fiction in 1987, but now many of us literally own one - go further), but also, should they chose, easily bring back actors from previous shows to reprise parts in guest roles (say, an appearance of Worf not too far removed from Scotty's on the Next Generation.)
