http://www.thetrekcollective.com/2016/06/more-new-star-trek-tv-writers-and.html Surprise, surprise nutrek is once again the leading candidate for setting. Kurtzmen is director!! http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0941766/ http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0941766/awards?ref_=nm_awd Mark Worthington..multiple award winner for best production design Another name which appears to be in the room, as highlighted by TrekFM's Commentary Trek Stars, is Jesse Alexander another Heroes alumni, who has also worked with Fuller on Hannibal, and with another of the producers of the new Star Trek series, Alex Kurtzman, on Alias, as well as producing episodes of Lost. Alexander certainly seems happy about this role, posting some fun images from the production offices on his social media. His CV lists him as designer for the pilot and series. The CV also suggests Bad Robot have some involvement in the series (which is either new or an error, activate speculation machine). Worthington has previously worked on Lost, Once Upon a Time, and Ugly Betty, among many other shows and movies. That document also reveals Alex Kurtzman will also be serving as director for the pilot episode.
Concept art for new show? http://trekcore.com/blog/2016/06/rumor-new-trek-2017-production-designer-chosen/
http://markworthington.viewbook.com/ The 'Federation Ships' on this site doesn't look like any federation I know... The Klingon ships look cool, almost like a church.
The portfolio is labeled but there is actually no artwork except for the pics in the header..I'm assuming there will be actual portfolio pics there at some point.
The fed ships are not fed ships, the gallery is misnamed, this is the file name for one of them KlingonRaiderEXT_5_14_16_v004DD_WIP_jD_001.jpg Edit: Wait I already told you this on there haha.
Like I said, I'm guessing it's a placeholder with Klingon art in the header until there are actual Federation ships to show.
One of the klingon ships is labelled as a "sarcophagus" ship. It could be from a different era, an ancient klingon vessel
Or one from the distant future. Then again, these could all just be artistic samples or rough concepts that may never make it into the actual show.
And now the references to Kurtzman and Bad Robot are gone from his CV. Correcting an error or removing information that shouldn't have been released yet?
Hopefully the former. I'm sick of seeing Bad Robot involved in everything I love. I also would prefer someone other than Kurtzman directing the pilot. Say, Nicholas Meyer?
Those ships look like something hr Geiger would dream up. If the new show is suddenly "horror" based they will be perfect. If not yuck
Oh, well. If this is the direction they're taking then to hell with it. Not interested. Christ! VOY - disappointing ENT - disappointing JJtrek - huge turn-off And now if they fuck up ST2017 it will be yet another Trek project I'll have zero interest in.
