Uhura's too. Apparently they're going to re-release those ones to fix it.Hate to be that guy, but the first thing I noticed was the flipped insignia on Sulu's uniform.

I don't think that shot is mirrored, I think they just forgot to put his delta on when filming. The chair is the right way 'round, the guy beside him has a delta on, and Faran's cheek scar is on the correct side.check out Captain Robau's vanishing insignia on the mirrored shot of him sitting down at the very start of Star Trek (2009)![]()
People here are generally supportive of the Abramsverse which eschews Prime canon in favor of a rebooted reality with the freedoms of creating a completely new story because Prime canon, as Daystrom put it, "simply got in the way." Prime canon is that ensign in M5's bug zapper. I've called bullshit on such restrictions of canon when you have a whole universe to play with, but here we are. Also, what's the prevailing thought about Abramsverse? I have more enjoyment from Abramsverse because I know Prime continuity.

Karl Urban: "Yeah, that would be great. I love when he reappears, and he's got this huge beard and this big medallion around his chest -- and his chest hair! I love that! I actually put a nod to that in Star Trek Beyond. You'll see at the end of the film, I'm wearing an open shirt, and I've got a medallion on. Like, not a big one, but it's there, and it's a direct nod to DeForest [Kelley]".

Wow. Fantastic, Urban! It is a great tribute.
So, the scene with Bones, Kirk and Spock looking at something, that may be the new Enterprise, this scene is the end of the film.
The last two villains (Khan & Nero) looked kind of plain IMO, so the look of Krall is a nice change of pace. I bet Paramount wanted a more elaborate looking villain as well, since they want Trek to be like Guardians Of The Galaxy, which had very visually interesting antagonists.I wish Krall had more subtle makeup. It's a little difficult to see the actor. It's still a cool design, though.
