I did a bit of digging, and it seems there's no disc option for PC. Sorry.

Am I the only one getting a Spore vibe from this? I don't know what it is, really, but everything I've seen so far reminds me a lot of what was originally promised with Spore.

In the sense that its open ended where you can experiment and do whatever you want with no definitive end goal, then yes.

I was thinking more about the randomization of everything you come across, but yeah, that too.

This is thing that's stopping me from getting No Man's Sky. Other than exploration, scanning for new alien life, collecting resources and the occasional fight, there doesn't seem to be much else to do.

The aspect of pioneering - being the first to discover a new solar system and the like - is probably the one thing that could give me cool (and more importantly, pretty unique) Star Trek Feels (trademark pending).

Everything else doesn't look too compelling. (I'm not a Minecraft/survival crafting kind of guy.)

Yep. Everytime a friend of mine loses their mind over this game, I think about Spore. I hope it's good, but it could get very boring after an hour.

Yeah if the game is just the exploration of a randomly generated universe, then its going to be a pretty boring game. I'm seriously hoping there is more to the game, but I'm not holding my breath.
