At least that's where I was coming from. Sorry it didn't work for you.
Yes it was a joke. I didn't really expect you to rewrite that 358-page book. Have you written any other Q novels besides that trilogy? What about Borg novels? One thing I heard about you is that you tend to be wordy.I haven't crunched the numbers, but I think CHILD OF TWO WORLDS was of average length. That's my only Pike novel to date, however, although Number One returns in my next Trek novel, coming out next month. That one takes place during Kirk's original five-year-mission.
Glad you liked the Q trilogy. Strange to realize that I wrote those books nearly twenty years ago . . .
(I'm assuming you're joking about me rewriting CHILD. Trust me, I've got too many new books to write to go back and rewrite an old one!)
That's okay. Just rewrite the book and let Erzula rejoin her biological family. Who knows? Maybe I'll buy it new. Since you don't remember, her sister's name was Soleste.
Are all Star Trek books long like your book was? Unfortunately, I'm not as familiar with Pike's crew; and that's the only reason I'd prefer a Kirk story when reading something about the original series. You're not a bad writer. I loved your Q trilogy.
God bless, Jason Irelan
If CoTW was 385 pages, that's pretty average for this kind of novel. Most of the Trek books are between 300-400 pages, but there have been a few that went longer. The longest ones I know of are DS9: Mission Gamma: Twilight at 504p and Crucible: McCoy: Provenance of Shadows at 640p.Yes it was a joke. I didn't really expect you to rewrite that 358-page book. Full Circle has 578 pages and the paperback version of Rise and Fall of KHAAAAAAAN (because you don't do it right if you don't scream the name) has 520 pagesIf CoTW was 385 pages, that's pretty average for this kind of novel. Vol. 1 but only in the paperback version, according to Memory Beta.Which Khan book? I just read them both, and I could have sworn they were each around 400 pages.
Aren't there 3 Khan books?Which Khan book? I just read them both, and I could have sworn they were each around 400 pages.

Page counts like that make be grateful for my Kindle as it severely reduces the weight in my bag when I am travelling.I take it you must no read much fantasy, like Game of Thrones or Wheel of Time. Both series don't have any books under 600 pages (going by Amazon's page counts for the paperbacks) and they both have books over 1200 pages. Page counts like that tend to make you reevaluate what you consider a long book.
