Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 1

I think I travelled in time back to the plot of All Good Things...

Did I catch "Grey" right in that they'd split into two teams to cover the three time periods? No wonder they have paradoxes.

Funny that the Hawks didn't take out either Savage.

So Ray just sits in the car while Rory burns his new partner??? Wtf?

I thought it was funny how inconsequential that guy was.

I was surprised Hawkgirl will not staying a regular. But the reason given in that link does not.

One of my biggest issues with this series is that the newer characters are not well defined enough. The ones I mean are Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and Rip Hunter. Their roles and personalities are too tied to Savage. We never saw the Hawks as heroes outside of their quest to stop him. with so many other characters, the others were easier for the writers to use.

I am not a fan of the Hawkman actor. But they did not give him much to work with either.

Not really. I didn't expect her to be back as a regular on LoT -- I was just hoping she wouldn't disappear entirely from the shared universe, that she'd recur in a guest capacity. In the article, Guggenheim says "Bringing them back to the team as soon as the the beginning of Season 2 felt premature" -- which suggests they are open to bringing the characters back as guests, either in LoT or somewhere else.

No, he said "split into teams of two." Atom and Heat Wave in '58, Firestorm and White Canary (technically three) in '75, and Rip and Carter in 2021.

Funny that the Hawks didn't take out either Savage.

Kendra did stab the 2021 Savage in the heart -- although he was mortal at that point anyway. Rip just delivered the coup de grace.

Really curious who the other members of this JSA will be. If they had done some planning the Hawks could have been. We might get our first clue in the Flash finale if we see the real Jay Garrick.

I wonder if Thanagar will be followed up on. Stein was aware of it. Maybe that is its human name. In this universe it would be one of the Earth like planets that have recently discovered in real life. But in the present they have no idea it has life.

So that's it? No more Vandal Savage? Since the team killed him in all three timelines, you would think it would have had a ripple effect so that none of the events this season actually took place. But instead, nothing seems to have changed from a 2016 standpoint. Rip's family is still dead. Somehow Savage is destined to rise to power in the future. But at least the Hawks end up being together in the present.

I'm glad to see that they're finally giving Firestorm his transmutation ability. I never understood why they limited him to just throwing fireballs when they already had a guy who threw fire.
I was thinking the same thing, just before he transmuted for the first time. (Okay, I was also thinking it all season)

I'm glad to see that they're finally giving Firestorm his transmutation ability.
Yet he's been able to create a costume for some time now. Never liked that costume, by the way. Enough with the leather. I wanted the puffy shirt.

Aside from the JSA, I'm assuming it will deal with a Thanagarian Invasion since they mentioned it a few times in these last two episodes.
It would be odd if they do the Thanagarians without Hawkman and Hawkgirl so I guess season 2 will deal with something else.

So Ray just sits in the car while Rory burns his new partner???
I got a kick out of the fact that he stole some good old-fashioned loot. He's always been a hammy character and this just seals it.

Looking forward to the JSA. I was hoping that we'd see Alan Scott but that doesn't seem likely. It might be an opportunity to see Power Girl though.

Definitely seems like all of this (no Time Masters or Occulus) should leave the future completely open to any possibilities, including Rip's family surviving.... from this point forward nothing should be set in stone, and Vandal's insistance on otherwise as merely villain monologue...

With the mention of the Justice Society of America, I decided to think about any other JSAers that may have already been hinted at to see if we can rule out anyone from appearing in the next season of Legends.

- Ted Grant (Wildcat) was a mentor to Laurel Lance. Last seen defending the Glades on Arrow. No group affiliation was mentioned and if the JSA is a team in the present or past he is likely not a member.
- Jim Corrigan (Spectre) was seen on Constantine. He was still alive and had not yet become the Spectre. So not a JSAer yet.
- Helmet of Fate was on a table in Constantine's safe house. Whether or not there is a Dr. Fate in the JSA depends on when the team is set.
- Dinah Drake Lance was the original Black Canary in the JSA. That name belongs to Laurel Lance's mother who does not appear to have a heroic background. Not a JSA member.
- Hawkman & Hawkgirl. the reincarnation version of Hawkman has been a JSA member from the beginning. Seeing as the Hawks just flew off, it's unlikely they are JSA members.

Curtis Holt is supposed to be Michael Holt ( Mr. Terriffic II), but with the name change I don't know if we can include him in a lst of JSAers.

The above ilst assumes the JSA is native to Earth-1. Rip's ship can fly through time and space, but no mention has been made of multiveral capabilityes.

JSA Elimination Game
Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman- Highly unlikely to show up.

Atom, Flash, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Red Tornado, the Huntress, Black Canary and Wildcat.- Other versions have already appeared, so iffy.

Hourman- Already on the show
That leaves:
Dr. Fate (Nelson)
The Spectre
Sandman (Dodds)
Johnny Thunder
Starman (Ted Knight)
Dr. Mid-Nite (McNider)
Mr. Terrific (Sloan)
Power Girl- Could be a fun way to have Supergirl appear
Star-Spangled Kid
Robin (Grayson) -Probably a long shot.
Sandman (Hawkins)
Starman (Jack Knight)
Stargirl
Mr Teriffic (Holt): Curtis on Arrow is sort of this character.
Dr. Fate (Hector Hall) Son of Hawkman and Hawkgirl. Might be interesting.
Dr. Mid-Nite (Cross)
Jakeem Thunder

So Mick can visit Snart in 2013 and interact with him, but Sara cannot visit Laurel in 2016 and intervene in any way that might save Laurel's life.
Sorry, I don't get it.

If they use Power Girl, I really hope they don't use the Supergirl actress for her. Ignoring physical differences, she doesn't have the right style or type of character to fit Powergirl. Plus, if they go that route I'm 500% sure they'd make PG the evil Earth 2 version of Supergirl, because Berlanti hates the JSA and tries to make the members all villains (or randomly rename them Curtis for reasons no human can possibly comprehend). That would really suck. So, I'd say either no Power Girl, or use a different actress.

Also, to add to the list of remaining JSAers they could use (yeah they're newer JSA, but still count):

STRIPE
Magog
King Chimera
Cyclone (actually a pretty well established JSAer in the comics and friend of Stargirl)
Wildcat III (Cat-like son of Ted Grant)
Damage
Judo Master
Amazing Man

For me a good group would be Hourman, Sandman, Stargirl, Dr. Fate, Jessie Quick and Mr. Terrific. The group would be set in the near future say 2025 and took their inspiration from Arrow and Flash (who disappeared in 2024).
I would like to see Eclipso as the main bad guy.
Don't know how that would relate to time travel but the show doesn't know either so we are good there.

I do not get it either. They have made every effort to say "Laurel is dead and never coming back" First on Arrow, than on The Flash when we saw her doppelgänger from Earth 2. they were clear to say his is not really Laurel. Now on here they will not even show her in the past.

With almost every other main character death on these shows the writers have suggested the slight possibility the character could return. While we have shows that have shown full resurrections from the dead or met again with time travel. Laurel is for some reason totally off limits...

I am in the camp that the Justice Society is another Earth, and the Waverider gets an upgrade to hop the multiverse

Earth 1 will have, perhaps at the end of Arrow, it's own Justice League, which will consist of

Green Arrow
Flash
Vixen
Vibe
"Spartan" (hopefully gets an ARGUS upgrade)
Supergirl (in lieu of Superman)
Martian Manhunter

Yes, I REALLY think they will merge those 2 Earths within a couple of years.

Justice Society will hopefully include a John Schipp Flash (assuming that the man in the mask is the "real" Jay Garrick who has the name of Henry Allen's mom), and wll be from that third earth (which is the "real" Earth 2...as the TV Earth 2 seems more like Earth 3)

I am guessing that the Justice Society will only be featured in a couple of episodes, though perhaps talked about a bit more.

The show really needs to take the time travel aspect more seriously they are so all over the place with it, However saying that this show is a nice guilty pleasure and some of the characters really grew on me like Snart and Mick (who probably is my favourite character).
