What, we may ask, is an optimist? The man who fell off the roof of the Railway Exchange Building, and who was heard to remark, as he passed the seventh floor on his way down, “So far, so good,” was an optimist.

If she has any acumen as a lawyer or poster on social media, she will not only NOT respond, but never ever ever post something like that again...Kahless knows I have posted and then regretted, but that was a clear example of someone not at all aware of their "audience", and a lawyer for the Lord of the Lies really needs council that "knows their audience"...

...Madame Chief Justice, can I bill for that legal and social advice?

It looks like W&S learned their lesson. The tweet is gone.

Damn, if only the internet worked that way.

Don't forget narcissism and arrogance.

Rookies......
1) This is why you don't post about your cases on social-media; especially those that is full of a lot of online bickering
2) You can't handle a few people disagreeing with you on the internet without trying to "destroy the evidence" sort-of-speak, then I'd really question how well you'd hold up under someone like Zavin when it comes to trial.

While the Judge might chuck us out if we turned up dressed like Star trek characters, can we play a blinder and attend the trial hearings dressed as Alec Peters?

Now that you mention "destroy the evidence," I have to wonder how much evidence has been destroyed, including the so-called locked script. I'm sure there are other copies out there, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit if there was a mass shredding session after LFIM was served.

Just thinking out loud ...

Wouldn't put it past Alec's ego to think he could succeed where Enron failed.

Having decided in the way back to delete my own Twitter & Facebook accounts I am relegated to reading excerpts of them when quoted in a thread or a link provided in a thread actually lets me read one. Well today's link to Ms. Ranahan's tweet did allow me to read it - and the manyyyy tweeted responses to it too. And this was the first time I fleetingly thought I wished I had a Twitter account so I could add my own "As a fan you do not represent me either". :)

Now the ' .... ' in the tweet suggests to me (maybe wrongly) that some wording had been snipped in the version I could read. Maybe wording indicating CBS/P. Or maybe the ' ... ' was merely a 'fill in the blank' implication for me to infer CBS/P. Don't know.

But anyway, now that the tweet has been removed due to I would presume an unexpected way too many responding tweets from fans saying uh uh, nope, don't include me in your 'fans' grouping - I'm now finding amusing irony in the as-it-reads "We will continue to defend against attempts to stifle Star Trek fans from expressing themselves" then deleting the Twitter thread in which said Star Trek fans had expressed themselves, ergo, attempting to stifle them from expressing themselves.

[EDITED to more accurately read]
 We will defend against attempts to stifle Star Trek fans expressing themselves, and we will attempt to delete
"destroy the evidence"
of expressions of Star Trek fans that we don't like.

It amazes me that Alec is so positive about the outcome of this case. He's either completely detached from reality, or so narcissistic that he can't see the truth. I have to commend his legal team for their vigorous defense thus far, as futile as I think it is.

I could be completely wrong about the case, but I don't see any way that Axanar comes out a winner. This from someone not trained as an attorney, but the reasoning in W&S' motions and responses just doesn't sway me to their side.

Too bad I'm not in the jury pool.

Is it possible to have Peters tested for a mental disorder? Joking aside, I wonder if he has mental health issues which might allow his team to claim insanity

Just my unqualified opinion, from his past behavior I think he's a full blown sociopath.

NPD City!!!...gotta be...this, from Mayo:

"Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of ultra- confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism.
A narcissistic personality disorder causes problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, work, school or financial affairs. You may be generally unhappy and disappointed when you're not given the special favors or admiration you believe you deserve. Others may not enjoy being around you, and you may find your relationships unfulfilling.
Narcissistic personality disorder treatment is centered around talk therapy (psychotherapy)."

NPD is also one of the hardest disorders to treat because the patient can't bring himself to accept that there's anything wrong with him. It's always others plotting against him... he has a need to believe that.

(Or she, of course, but...)

And narcissism does progress in some cases to sociopathic disorder. (From what I've read.)
