The new Post Your Desktop thread

Not able to attach a pic but my main computer (my S7) has a pic of my pups (see my avatar), my laptop is a pic of the Chicago logo (the band, not the city) taken at a concert last year. My work pc i have an image of Pluto from the New Horizons probe.

I wish I had a desktop friend... or a friend. :guffaw:
This is my new desktop. I created it in Poser.

Wow those icons are HUGE............ What resolution is that screen? How did you make your desktop icons so big?
The the icons are so huge because it's my laptop and though I usually hook it up to my 32" screen, it's also a touchscreen and I need to be able to touch them easily with my big fingers. Little icons do nothing for me. :techman:

BTW, I also have the font settings set to larger scale than normal.

Ooh, I like the color scheme on that one! Is that the Resistance logo?

Here's mine for this week (it's from Rosario+Vampire):

I love Japan. If I could overcome the language barrier (Japanese is absurdly difficult for me), I'd move there in a heartbeat.

I know hello and goodbye, and that's basically about it. Haha..

I wasn't trying to be mean but their fascination with almost underage looking animated girls. I find that amusing.

Japan likes to push every boundary, and that's one of the reasons I love them. As for their art style, there are so many you can't really pin it down to just one kind. The "underage looking animated girls" thing has a number of different perspectives. Usually, they represent innocence, trust, structure, and all of the positives we would hope to find in a civilized society.

This is wholly from my very white and male point of view (so take it with a grain of salt), but Japanese people look much younger than their ages, at least to these eyes. A 40 year old Japanese man or woman may look 20 to me, so I don't really look at it as some kind of perversion, not that you're alluding to such. They just look young. Plus, a lot of manga in Japan centers around school, probably because it represents the culture, structure, and discipline I mentioned earlier.

In the case of Rosario+Vampire, they attend a private school, which could be high school or college, I can't quite remember. Regardless, my favorite character is Mizori, though Moka (the lead character) is all kinds of sweet but badass, because she's a vampire, and has all these great abilities she uses to beat the *yay* out of monsters. It's a fun show, though it is an adult show, so, you know, keep that in mind if you decide to check it out.
