Scribbles are not communication. Not if you're over 6, anyway.
You said you made lists, quotes and rules as as way of "communicating" with the outside world.
The outside world is free to communicate back however it wants.

I would say that the artist is qualified as a "scam" artist. (I feel that way about a great deal of "modern" art, with the artists as scammers and the critics that support them as people desperately seeking relevance and a need to appear profound.) But these are subjective opinions, one man's art is another man's bird crap on canvas. Some renowned artwork in exclusive galleries looks like scribbles to me. I would say that it still qualifies as a form of communication.

That's true, assuming that a message with zero informational content is "communication."
I posted what I considered humorous lists and quotes and "rules for my room" on my dorm door as my way of communicating with the outside world.
One guy decided I needed to be "brought out of my shell," and proceeded to do so by defacing everything I posted. I was not encouraged to socialize with people who would damage my property.
The RESPONSE contained no informational content. What part of "scribbles" escaped you?Sorry but you can't say that you made lists, quotes and rules and then say... but there was no informational content. Clearly there was otherwise someone wouldn't have felt the need to respond to it.
Nah, it taught me the valuable and necessary lesson that people who scribble on other people's property (and again, aren't 6 years old) and think it's "communication" or in any way a productive act, are douchebags. While my understanding of douchebags is not yet complete, I thank you for contributing to it.Perhaps he helped to teach you a valuable and necessary lesson about communication. Or not as the case may be.

He's either the jackass who did it, or being deliberately dense. Like the aforementioned scribbles, his responses also contain no useful or intelligible content. Sensors recalibrated to filter out noise.I took Doom to mean that it was the DAMAGE/DEFACING done to the posted lists and quotes that was 'communication with no informational content', not the original things posted.
