Oh, and I'm sure something Karzak would love too ... we decided to pull our same move we did with TrekUnited a decade ago: We demanded an independently audited financial report: http://1701news.com/node/1110/axanar-many-things-not-transparent.html
What still baffles me in all of this is that they raised $1.1 million from donations. Maybe it is just me but that is a huge amount of money they raised simply by saying they want to make their own Star Trek film. I'd me impressed if anyone could raise $10,000 doing that but I just cannot comprehend raising $1.1 million...
They still have $745,566 to go. Likely more given their monthly "burn rate" of money to just keep the lights on at the warehouse-cum-studio.What still baffles me in all of this is that they raised $1.1 million from donations. It's not a defense. It's a motion to dismiss.
This is the wierdest thing I've seen on the internet, and that's saying somehing.By the way ... we covered both the interview he did with Matthew (including some response to what he said), as well as an interview Robert Meyer Burnett did with a podcast called Blind Panels.
Burnett didn't like having his bullshit quoted, and tried to flame me both on Facebook and Twitter accusing me of, get this ... theft!
Here is our report on Peters' interview: http://1701news.com/node/1116/peters-axanar-operates-non-profit.html (Peters: Axanar Operates As A Non-Profit)
And here is our report on Burnett's interview: http://1701news.com/node/1114/axanar-director-were-trying-reach-settlement.html (Axanar Director: We're Trying To Reach A Settlement)

I purposely have never seen that. I have avoided it, thank God.Even weirder then Two Girls One Cup...?

Their popularity on the internet doesn't matter. What matters is that they're stealing.
He kept saying that the vast majority of comments on Facebook and YouTube have been positive, but I have heard (here on Trek-BBS and elsewhere) that they delete negative comments and will even blacklist users who post too much negativity. If that's true, isn't it more than a little disingenuous to claim such overwhelmingly support??
Hasn't Alec offered to refund the donation of any donor who asks? Has anyone asked? It seems this would be a simpler course than a lawsuit.
