Difference between Holodeck and Holosuite

IIRC, in ST:FC when Picard is going into the Dixon Hill program, he enters a largeish area called a Holosuite which is subdivided into several rooms each of which is called a Holodeck.

Or maybe it's the other way around.

Suppositions aside, they are operationally the same.

The holodeck on Voyager has more techno-garbage all over the walls than a holosuite, so I'm not sure that points to anything other than visual design for the show.
I've forgotten a great deal of Voyager (on purpose), so I didn't recall that detail.

Do you prefer Ping Pong or Table Tennis?
Table Tennis. It is the operational name (it describes what the object does). Table Tennis is Tennis played above a table. Ping Pong says nothing about what TT is about?
So what is the operational name of the holodeck/holosuite?

I believe it was originally called:
William's Holographic Oddity Creative Alternate Reality Excitement Simulation

If you went to a ball game, and a guy was walking around yelling "Got yer ground pig intestines here! Five dollars! Come and get em!" Nobody would buy it. Call it a hot dog, it's an American tradition.

Why does this bother you when it comes to holosuites?

Why? Because it is an inconsistency that makes no sense and pulls down my enjoyment of Star Trek (of what of it had Holodecks/Holosuites).
Both bother me. Tell, me why do we Americans (to those who understand American culture) have that tradition
In North Korea, they have the operational name of hamburgers (Double Bread With Meat).

It's not an inconsistency. The two are different in some way, they have different names. You'll just have to learn to live with it. Or don't, whatever.

This is a silly topic.

Is it Soda, Pop, or Soda Pop?

Different names, same product. If you want operational differences I refer you to the tech manuals for TNG and DS9.
