Agents of SHIELD: Season 3 - Discussion (SPOILERS LIKELY)

Maybe that creature just isn't accustomed to eating anymore. When was the last time he ate? (gasp, when was the last time he pooped? He might just be put off from eating.)

Yeah, but currently, they had crappy sandwiches.

Who knows if tentacle Inhumans need to eat (food).

The tentacle itself couldn't eat but their host could. They might well have eaten the weird stuff growing, Mallick did say "clinging to life", could be scrunging meagre amounts of food was part of that.

But, eating doesn't seem to satisfy every metabolic need. Not!Will's leg was black to the bone but the rest was still kind of squishy, dried out enough for the flare to really burn it up. Not!Ward was probably black inside and going moldy, they might keep the digestive tract intact and live there like a tapeworm, soaking up nutrients.

Depends if all the hosts were dead, what repair work they've done to the body, if it'll go bad again later etc

I liked the last episode.
Talbot and Coulson working together was a lot of fun. I actually thought Talbot was working for Malick, so I was glad when they revealed he was being blackmailed.
I'm curious to see where exactly the story with Hive is gong. Hopefully now that Ward's body is healthy he'll be more active.
I'm confused by how his powers are working exactly. It looks almost like he's shedding skin, but Ward's skin doesn't seem to be effected. It appears to be making the Inhumans follow him, so I'm assuming it must have some kind of brainwashing effect.
It looks like Bobbi and Hunter going off by themselves is the start of the set up for Most Wanted.
I was kind of surprised Lincoln wasn't totally disgusted by the idea of a cure for Inhumans. Having been aware of what he was the longest, and having the most experience with other Inhumans, I would think he would be one of the most against it.

The problem is that Hydra mooks were always seen blindly following head Hydra so for Mr Giyera I am not seeing any difference, besides showing a questioning look. And the Colombian cop, while questioning the hurting innocents if we are to believe YoYo he was willing to do it back home in relation to whatever graft that local department was involved in.

Deadly Dander.

Except for the first time, when the dust goes down to the bone, by that point it's too thick to see if those are distingergrating too. The next episode, he doesn't lose mass when doing it that we see, but he could be allowing only a tiny layer to come away with the Gorgon guy and we only see the start of his flesh eating antics.

Now that you say that, I think I do vaguely remember seeing the skin on his arm disappear before, but then he was fine. It seems weird he would heal Ward but not his other host body.
Tonight's new episode:
Parting Shot:
Bobbi and Hunter become trapped in an assassination plot after tracking Malick to Russia. and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team is changed forever after trying to save lives on the line.
Sounds to me like this is the set up for Most Wanted.

The final shot of last week's episode made it pretty clear that Hive needed to kill multiple people in order to collect the materials necessary to repair his host body. On Maveth, he had no living people to feed on, so he couldn't repair Will's body.

Then I'll go with my tapeworm theory, using the host to do the finding and chewing, eating what little it could get by that.

I wonder how much thought they put into the rules for this thing, It says it can't posses Inhumans, but does that include latents? Odds are one or two of the sacrifices sent through the portal over the centuries was an Inhuman, unless Hydra had a means to screen them.
If it can inhabit latents then what happens if said host is exposed to terragen? Is Hive expelled, killed or further transformed?

Man, tonight's episode really did not hold my interest. I just do not find Mockingbird and Hunter interesting on their own. They only work as a piece of the ensemble. So this doesn't bode well for the spin-off for me.
