When Kirk goes into the Nexus from the Enterprise-B, he is going into his own illusion. Later, when Picard goes into it, he has his own illusion about having a family. After talking to "Guinan", Picard decides to go to Kirk to have him help defeat Soran.
The last part is where I have my first question. How can Picard just choose to go Kirk's illusion or did he just have his own illusion of Kirk? If the latter was the case, how did Kirk manage to come back to the real world to fight Soran? If it was the real Kirk that fought Soran and died, wouldn't he still have an echo in the Nexus, like Guinan in Picard's fantasy? No matter how I think about it, I keep coming to the conclusion that Kirk still exists in the Nexus, whether it was really him or just an illusion. If anybody could debunk or give an explanation that would contradict my thoughts, I would accept it.
My second question is, when the Nexus comes by after Soran destroys the sun, it clearly goes over the remains of the Enterprise-D. Does this mean that each and every person on the ship had their own illusion like Kirk, Picard and Soran?
