You mean this coffee?

I am in possession of the House of Kharn blend. It does smell rather nice, I freely admit.

Whether they appear or not, they are still allowed to have an opinion on material that is produced. I don't share that opinion, but they have a right to have it.
Indeed.

I might disagree with someone else but I have no problem with them expressing it. I'm even willing to have discussions about the differences. But, I always prefer a respectful discussion.

The real question is how will the history of Fan Films remember Axanar?
First off, my personal vested interest in this whole thing is null, I've concluded a tour of duty with one production company and wish to spend some time as just a fan of fan films.
Second, There is a lot of stuff to think about but better left un posted.

Hell, half the people around here (or fans no longer posting here) think I'm the antichrist anyhow. If I had money for every "bitch" or "cunt" I've been called (a record was being called "cunt" twenty-one times in an email to me), I could retire to the Riviera!

He just HAD to double down.
Was that email from Alec Peters? Because it sounds like the caliber of writing he puts out.

I still can't see this getting as far as the courtroom. His lawyers may look at it after discovery and think it's not worth it. Settle for almost anything. CBS/P is going to have to decide if it's financially worth it at that point, too, especially since all that seems to be happening now is Peters' lawyers are swamping CBS/P in details and causing them to run up a huge legal bill. I'm also beginning to wonder if Peters' lawyers still think taking this on pro bono was such a good idea for their firm. If this goes to trial, they'll easily be out six figures for a result that's getting more and more unlikely to have anything favorable in it for them.

That's assuming his lawyers have a 6 figure case they would otherwise be working on.

The Axanar team are nowhere near like the Nazis...

Nazis had some good clothing - Peters, on the other hand, looks like a reject hippie from 1968

Hippies by definition were the rejectors of mainstream culture. To use the term "reject hippie" is a tautology, and in effect a complement. I would put to you, find critique in what he does, that is where it will tell. Critiquing appearance (or other personal matters like relationship activities) has little effect, and gives fuel for axanerds to misquote and misconstrue, and distract from the arguments which would really box them in.

So... I haven't looked at this thread since Friday, and there are a bunch more pages now. What's the latest on the legal proceedings?

Kor

Also, AP is initiating some sort of "World Tour", starting in Arizona. Take a moment to refocus your eyes now.

Wait for it ---
CARPET! :D

I hear TOS carpet squares sold occasionally on ebay at about 100$ for less than 1 sq in. Story was someone yanked a section and kept it at home somewhere for ages.

I gotta admit one thing about the XenForo system that is a little perplexing is that no traces of ignored user posts appear at all, so it takes a moment to realize there's a message or three sandwiched between other messages that you can't see. :D

I have that with Squiggy

Wait, they're shooting another Axanar-related documentary? Wonder how the judge will react to that.
It will indeed be interesting since there's been no ruling for/against Axanar of any king - yet in the middle of a civil trial regarding possible illegal use of Star trek elements, they plan to do a documentary about and USING those self same elements. <--- Yeah, that'll go over well with the Judge and be an inducement for C/P to come begging to t5he settlement table...
(Yes, the above IS sarcasm - just in case it doesn't come through in text.)

The donors where shown a photo of a bound "completed" script August 16, 2015:

Today was another day recovering, but I made time to go get my printed out copy of the script bound at Kinkos (yeah I still call it that) and then started highlighting Garth's lines. 5 months out from principle photography is the right time to start learning lines!
Alec
This lead donors to believe there was a script ready to shoot, actors had been signed and sets would be completed. This is why they call transparency?
