And that's why you'll never star in an episode of Cops.

A different report on the matter we found earlier, says that the public defender asked the Judge for the mental evaluation. Which probably means that Jennifer wants to be thought as mentally unwell, whether she is or is not, because it is a darn sight better than being regarded healthy enough to serve porridge.

I imagine that most of you are naked right now, or have a right to be naked in the comfort of your own home, so calculate how you would react if the police invaded your living room and told you that your breasts were unpleasant. Not only did Jennifer have the right to be naked in her own living room, but she almost had the right to request that her guests disrobe before entering her house.

Exactly how cooperative would you plan on being with these ass####s throwing their sence of estranged dencency in your bare face?

In all seriousness, you don't #### with cops, but I feel like she was really, really being pushed by an incredibly weird situation, that she momentarily didn't give a shit about the future or any consequences to her actions in general because she was right, and they were wrong, and that's all that mattered, but being right, and being righteous about being right, doesn't amount to squat in the short term if you are having an argument with 40 cops all armed with tasers.

As I have said on a few occasions, while I don't minimize its significance, at least as far as getting press attention, the felonies are much the more serious and dangerous charges for Jennifer. Do you (and admittedly most everyone else) insist on focusing on the indecent exposure incident and the subsequent addendum at her residence strictly because of its easy use as an entertaining riff?

The exposure charges were misdemeanours.

Is ramming a police cruiser a felony?

If someone was in the car, it's attempted murder, but if the car was empty, then it's just destruction of private(public?) property.

Although there could be some weirdo law in play where a police car is considered to be a police officer and therefore a person, and a dependant, for tax purposes.

Yes, it was occupied and I believe that reckless endangerment and aggravated assault are likely considered felonies pretty much everywhere in the U.S.

Assaulting a police officer isn't good.

Is Celebrity Rehab still a thing?

If she played this better, there would so much coin on the other end.

But it doesn't seem like she's playing anything.

Okay this is super weird or I'm reading it wrong, or it was written rather poorly.

It is said that Jennifer Lien was arrested in her Harriman, Tennessee, home on September 3 because she was found exposing herself to the children. According to ABC WATE reports on 31st August, a passerby commented on her crying children which led to Jennifer ranting on that neighbor. What happened next was not good. Jennifer lifted up her shirt and dropped her pants, exposing herself while the three children looked on. The police issued her detainer summons for indecent exposure.

Are the children Jennifer is accused of exposing herself to.... HER OWN FUCKING CHILDREN!!!!!!???????

Two of them still young enough to be breast feeding off her?

Wait, what, no?

Wrong, wrong, facts don't ... Fuck?

Some one google better than me to get my brain out of this rabbithole.

Lien exposed herself to the three children but its OK because they were eventually returned to their people and the fourth one became a valued member of the crew... oh wait, that's not right.

She exposed herself to the children but only because she had been taken over by an evil warlord named Tieran. No, that's not it either.

Let me get back to you...

Neighbor: That can't be; that's inside the room.
Guy Gardener: It's reading right man, look!
Hux: Then you're not reading *it* right.
Guy Gardener: 4 kids, man. 3. What the hell?

Don't get yourself in an unnecessary tizzy!. The kids involved were a neighbor's, as the woman involved clearly stated in the local tv news report following the incident. If they had been Jennifer's, I daresay they would have been removed by the state version of Child Protective Services and there's never been a breath of that happening. At any rate, her children are much older and with their father (at least Jonah anyway who's gotten into the acting world himself).

We're coming up soon to the next court appearance on all the charges. It has been rescheduled 2 or 3 times already, likely for the reason of awaiting a time that Jennifer can be deemed competent. Feb. 29 is the current scheduled date. Perhaps we'll find out her fate this time. I can only hope that these delays have provided the opportunity for her to regain some sense of balance and equilibrium in what I believe is her struggle with mental illness. I'm dubious though, that she's effectively going to be allowed to walk. She used her get out of jail free card back in the assault case against her mother in 2012 and the felonies involved here are much more serious charges. She's fortunate that she survived this encounter with her life, as many others in similar or even lesser situations have failed to do.

I thought she was still in jail at the moment over the matter of 25 hundred dollars?

This is good?

That means that Jennifer is locked up because it's part of her plan.

I believe she might have been transferred months ago, Guy, to a rehab facility equipped for mental health evaluations and, perhaps coincidentally, substance abuse treatment.

Sounds like making restitution for the police car is a deliberate step toward becoming a productive member of society again. Good luck to her.

It's a shame she's receiving treatment for her mental abilities. She was just starting to master them.

Yes, she hasn't been in custody for quite a while and is now working with a probationary visitation authority. I must admit surprise that the state is showing this degree of compassion for her, given the seriousness of the felony charges and her 2012 release through mediation. Perhaps, it's simply a recognition of the true severity of her illness and the overwhelming degree to which it may be deemed to have deteriorated since then. One can only hope that this very lengthy removal from society and presumably intensive treatment will result in the averting of an ultimate tragedy that she was very close to experiencing, and return her to the world of the living, not just surviving.:techman:

Not that I want to see her in jail at all, and I hope she bot gets the help she needs and it makes a difference to change her life for the better, but had Jennifer Lien been Jane Citizen and not a former celebrity, I doubt the that the state would be going this far to help her. So, she is lucky in that respect, and hopefully she takes advantage of this opportunity to turn her life around.

^ I agree with everything you say; but for the minor hint of special celebrity treatment. I've seen nothing here beyond the standard operating procedures oulined by the involved institutions on state websites; and repeated for countless other offenders every day.

The only real wiggle room here was in the police response for ramming the cruiser - and even then, police are mandated to use only the force necessary to control a situation. Ideally, every bullet is weighed against that condition, and you can see why cops would exhaust nonlethal options before lethal. I very much doubt they would factor in persona in their immediate response to a car ramming.

If there is any official celebrity favor being dealt here, it would seem to be limited to maintaining privacy of her status.
