iZombie season 2 discussion thread

Yeah, for a moment, I thought they were ending on that episode. I thought I'd heard that there were more so was a little confused for a mo.

I just took the "Fin" as a companion piece to the Les Miserables score playing over the last scene. It didn't occur to me to read anything more into it than that.

My favorite part was Blaine's prank on his reawakened father. He really went all-out on that one.

I was also very pleased that we got that scene where Clive acknowledged that he's aware of Liv's personality changes and explained that he takes it as a side effect of her psychic connection with the victims. That's what I always figured, but it's good that they finally spelled it out.

Yeah, I liked that too. He'd have to be an awful detective not to make that connection, and as we've seen in the past, he's actually pretty decent.

I do wonder now though if it was a set-up for some future storyline. Or you never know, maybe it was just a fun little throwaway to the fans, saying "of course he noticed". Sort of like that fun little "I'm more scared of Dark Helmet than Kylo Ren" line from Ravi's earbuds.

I seriously thought that Blaine was a goner!

I loved it when Liv almost went full-on zombie mode on Rita. The witch deserved more!

Yay, we have Enrico Colantoni in a recurring role! And his partner, Cop Who Doesn't Understand Figurative Language.

I seriously thought that Blaine was a goner!

As soon as he started complaining that the taste of the wine was off, I knew he had to be reverting to zombie form.

And given that Liv administered the cure to Major only a short time after using the first dose on Blaine, that suggests that Major should revert pretty soon as well -- although it might progress differently in different people. After all, Major had the zombie virus in his system for a far shorter time, so maybe his cure was more effective.

I like that the show has really been focusing on other things besides the "murder of the week." It's become a lot more enjoyable.

Blaine really likes being dramatic, and opera.

Du Clark is now faced with a heavy moral dilemma. I know Gilda is horrible but I feel sorry for her.

I had forgotten how pretty Rose's real hair is.

I wouldn't put it in those terms, because it implies he had no choice in the matter. The coward deliberately left his own daughter to die in order to save his own skin. "Moral" is not a word he has it in him to comprehend.

I had forgotten how pretty Rose's real hair is.

I found it amusing that Liv basically disguised herself as Rose McIver.

^ And Ravi was so creeped out by it!

Maybe not but he did seem a tad conflicted over how he will (most likely) handle the situation. I think he assumed that she would be dead-dead not undead.

Liv decking Rita was awesome.
And now I feel sorry for her. Looks like she's joining the Z-Squad. I'd love it if she ate her dad's brain in the season finale. Cuz he's a jerk.

Clive is pretty good at figuring things out. He's bound to catch up to Liv and Co before the season is over, right?

There are so many different agendas on this show, I love how well they've been juggling them all lately. DuClark vs Major vs Blaine vs Mr Boss vs Clive vs Team Liv. Everybody has a different piece of information or knowledge, and everybody is hiding something. (Even Clive can now hide the fact that he knows the brains were human.)

I wonder if she will go crawling to Liv, begging for help, seeing as Liv is a well-adjusted zombie.

Gilda/Rita (I can never remember her real name) doesn't have a lot of options.

I had thought that Rita was her real name and Gilda was the name she adopted in her undercover role as Liv's roommate. But IMDb and Wikipedia list the character as Gilda, so I guess I had it backward.
