CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

That was the whole reason I got that call! A reality producer I used to work for (my mentor, actually) when I first got to LA brought us all in. The whole team of reality crew in that episode were all from a reality show we worked on together in 2008, before I finally made the switch to scripted.
I watched that episode just to see you!

Just as an aside. Why is Peters such a total wanker?

I hope the mods will forgive my language, but the more I see from him the more I feel he is a really detestable individual. Being a lawyer myself I'm in one of those professions where you encounter so many people, and both in terms of professional colleagues and the public. He's one of these awful people who can hoodwink the easily led, but is clearly loathsome (even if he ends up being judged in the right in this litigation).

Sorry, I know that has nothing to do with the case and I should know better. But I was reading some of his replies on THR and the more I read the more awful this man appears to me. Even if he has done no wrong legally, this guy is clearly the sort who bullshits and manipulates his way through things as much as he can. Anyone with half a brain can see it.

Sorry, rant over. Back to normal service. :)

Some have suggested he is a textbook narcissist. I don't have the qualifications to make that diagnosis, but the signs are certainly there.

Definitely. I've just tried to keep an open mind throughout and just look at the legal aspects....and, when appropriate, give him and his team the benefit of the doubt. But Jesus wept the guy really tests patience. He has one of those egotistical personalities that always turns people off...and I just can't help have a dimmer view of him the more I read of him (from his own words).

Nothing to do with my professional judgment, by my grandmother always used to say about people she didn't feel comfortable - "she/he gives me bad vibes". This guy does as well. I don't want to make any accusations, but his personality, history and behaviour is entirely consistent with a bullshit artist of the highest order....and I am not an investor, not in fan circles and really have no axe to grind. It's just he's making my skin crawl more and more. My instinct tells me there is bad news trailing this guy like a putrid smell. Sometimes you just know.

Just had to get it off my chest.

LOL

I won't try to explain anything about why AP does what he does. That's his business and his choice of how to live and see things. But I will say the above question looks like an accurate presaging of what the judge will conclude after a little while listening to AP during this case. And the judge can clean out Axanar down to the carpets. Sometimes this is what it takes to get through to a person who will not listen to anyone else.

Man, this guy.

Always the need to play alpha dog. He can never just be right or correct, oh no, the other guy has to be a loser, less of a success, under or unpaid peon. Project much, Garth?

Someone upthread compared him to Trump. Yup, just that kind of "I'm the big man!!!" kind of bully.
