CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

I wonder if the injunction would make them remove there social media presence, such as there Facebook pages and Twitter account , etc.. Certainly their site would have to be taken down and perhaps there videos removed from video sites like Youtube.

Yeah "too incompetent" is something people said about pretty much everything ever worth cutting their losses on.

Deleting is mind-wipe. The desperation never happened for people who didn't see the wipe. Statistically, its a useful strategy until someone on another website clues in all the donors on what they missed.

Less charitably, deleting responses and threads can be a form of gaslighting. Pretend it didn't happen and if the dissenter brings up his/her treatment, people who didn't see the original post may disbelieve him/her due to a lack of evidence (provided the dissenter didn't get a screenshot). Then you can just dismiss the dissenter as a malcontent with a vendetta instead of a person with a legitimate concern. If enough people start doing it, the dissenter can begin to question if they were ever in the right.

hey, poster, you are welcome to raise a question here, provided your question is completely scrubbed of any definition by you of a context. "Why are you standing there?" is acceptable. "Why are you standing there with my wallet in your hand?" is not. The latter is a passive aggressive assertion that the wallet has something to do with what I need to answer, and therefore is stirring things up and vaguely implying there is a problem. anyone inserting any context into the Axanar facebook discussions without preapproval of the Axanar management will be dealt with without a second thought. you have been warned, by the flag holders of the true spirit of Trek.

this thing is looking more and more like an actual cult of personality project. but to what end? aside from extracting some money, and getting cheered in a meeting room at a side hotel at the conventions, what could it possibly serve to boil down the followers to those who will accept such abuse? why would anyone actually want to create a dissident faction of unreflective people among thinking fans? its just so... stupid
