Star Trek is without error, introducing, The Star Trek Apologist

The worlds greatest expert would have to have knowledge of all things Trek.

All 6 series and the 7th coming up. All 13 movies and potentially the 14th if the reboot has a fourth. Every novel, every comic, every toy, every commerical and marketing campaign, every actor and actress, every staff member, every convention, every printed magazine/periodical/article, every website and community, all appearances of the principal cast on other television and movies, their own publications such as autobiographies

Oh and of course, Phase II and all other unproduced products that nearly where, such as the Star Trek Phase II companion book, which I own, and will test you on thoroughly at my leasure.

Good luck with that.

I think I know a lot about Star Trek, been watching for forty years. I've seen all six series and twelve movies and I doubt I know half of what some folks around these parts know.

I've just decided my new personal canon is this: all episodes of TOS, TNG, and the first seven movies were each stories with the same people in a different universe every time. Each universe is just ever so slightly different. The teeniest bit. But they are separate and different even if each person is living a life 99.999% the same in each place. There. Easy. So, no contradictions and no errors. It's all explained folks. One simple idea. Several hundred Trek universes.

(I am also going to strive to be the expert on all the odd numbered TOS and TNG episodes.)

LOL if that is your thing.

Motion Picture, followed by Search for Spock, followed by Final Fontier. Dear god man, think what you're doing!

Please explain "one to the fourth power."

Then there's the issue of Kirk never having faced death in TWOK.

And how about the definition of the word "allot."

:ouch:

Thread should be titled: "Star Trek is full of errors! I mean, seriously, a Fucking Shit Ton!"

Deck 72, or rather Deck 7-2 is a specialized numbering system for not only the deck but also the section of the ship. This system was only applied to the Constitution-refit (and others produced in the same era) and only really applied to turbolift repairs. It was quickly ignored and abandoned.

travelling 28,000 LY in 12 hours

Warp highways.

Did WWIII happen or didn't it?

Yes it did.

Does anti-matter destroy the universe or doesn't it?

No, it just destroys an equivalent amount of matter (and itself). An antimatter universe would not be a good thing to come in contact with a matter universe.

Is it Lithium or Dilithium?

Both are viable. Dilithium is preferred. I always assumed you could synthesize dilithium from lithium.

What happened to time warp factors?

Renamed.

What is the time barrier?

A warp speed barrier. Probably something like Warp 10 in the TOS scale, or maybe a relatively comfortable Warp 8.

Giant space amoeba, how does the DNA survive gravitational tidal forces given human bodies can tear it with fluid motion of their own cells?

Unlike regular amoeba, the space amoeba was surrounded by negative energy, which may have offset the gravitation that would normally restrict an amoeba of such a size existing. My assumption was that the amoeba, probably an anaerobic variety that evolved to live in space, came into contact with a wormhole which imbued it with negative energy and dropped it off somewhere else, in a magnified state (the opposite of a subspace compression anomaly, as seen in One Little Ship). Perhaps it was one out of trillions that managed to survive.

Warp 10, as redefined in the 24th century, is the limit of warp power, where one has the ability to be instantaneously anywhere. The two ships that have supposedly broken the Warp 10 barrier have simply gone faster than ever recorded possible.

What is Brain?
The brain is the part of the central nervous system that is the center for regulation and control of the body.

Trelane, just why?

Because the Gods often take human form.

Why does Spock have human skin pigmentation with green blood, or any Vulcan or Romulan for that matter?

Because they are played by human actors with imperfect makeup.

How can the Romulan heart be grey with emerald blood?

Garak was lying when he said that, as he is wont to do. Although it takes a lot of gall to lie about medical facts to a genius doctor.

Can you explain Harry Kim?

His rank? Janeway never promoted any active duty Starfleet officer during the seven years in the Delta Quadrant.

Why can we hear explosions in vacuums?

Dramatic effect. I don't believe Sisko or Picard have ever commented about all the noise that exists in space.

Please explain "one to the fourth power."

Kirk misspoke.

Then there's the issue of Kirk never having faced death in TWOK.

Kirk was being dramatic.

Now, I did say "without bullshit" more than once. I'm not seeing that being adhered to, it's very disappoint.

Check out the videos in my sig. I guess that means I'm your antimatter universe equivalent, or something *grows long but very stringy Lazarus breard*

Q stating the Federation conquered the Klingon Empire between TOS and TNG. Wesley then goes on to say that they joined of their own accord in that time. Then we find out neither happened.

Their homeworld being perfectly fine with a large population despite TUC saying it would become uninhabitable in 70 years, even with help from the Federation, no mention of such a concern is made in TNG.

Tribbles have no orifices, not all biological matter ingested could be converted to offspring even with a regurgitative reproductive species (Tribbles, Skriekers, Evolution Aliens, Parasprites etc) anyway. 50% of their anatomy is for reproduction, 50% for food digestion. Yet they have enough paristaltic muscles to move along similar to a snake, and vocalise. Being born pregnant would result only in a copy of the parent Tribble, there are dozens of variaties. No degenerative errors in their DNA from that form of birthing and the rapid gestation.

Or does a Tribbles offspring eat their way out of the host leaving nothing behind, one Tribble becoming 4?

How did Voyager carry more than 18 shuttlecraft despite not having the internal volume for half that amount?

What happened to Saavik?

Ceti Alpha 5, how?
