Theme: This Love (For Valentines Day)

Anything that is an image of love between two consenting adults. Keep it within TBBS rules!

I guess we are going with old board rules? TBBS avatar rules apply; Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 140.0 KB (whichever is smaller). LoB can amend this if is better to use new board rules?

Nothing from media(TV shows, movies, comics, music videos...etc.) Advertisements are okay.

It doesn't. The sailor just grabbed the nearest woman, who happened to be a nurse. Someone snapped a picture and it became famous.

They didn't even know each other, let alone love or even like.

I never said I wanted to run the contest. I explained to you via PM why I didn't want to enter this particular one and you indicated you understood my reason.

Avro Arrow is correct in pointing out that the picture of the sailor and nurse doesn't meet the stated rules, as it's a historic picture and we know the nurse was not a consenting participant.

I still think there would have been more entries if the contest had been open to more than just humans, but that's just my opinion.

People may be distracted from this one because there are other Valentine's Day avatar things going on elsewhere (in the media forums).

Since you and Locutus tied in the last contest, the person you should pass this on to (if you're opting out) is him.

If he doesn't want to and Saga and Kai "the spy" pass as well, I'll do a contest. But all three of them received more votes than I did last time, so they're the ones to be asked first.

My whole "consenting adults" was tongue in cheek. I just wanted romantic stuff with adult humans. Either way this isn't working and I think you @Timewalker had a better idea with including cute animal stuff plus whatever anyone else would like that works with Valentines Day.

This is why I generally try to keep my opinions to myself.

@Taylirious, I was not trying to push you out of the contest or anything. The theme was around love and romance (between consenting adults)... and then your entry was a photo of a man forcing himself on an unconsenting woman. You can perhaps see how this would be troubling, no?

OK, maybe I shouldn't have said anything; just let it slide. That's always my first inclination. But like I said, I was in a mood, so I ignored that little voice that is always telling me to keep my head down and not rock the boat.

FWIW, I was planning to submit an entry tonight; I just hadn't got to it yet. If the contest goes forward, I still will.

Tay, there's really no reason for you to quit. You did nothing wrong and nothing happened here that's worth getting upset over.

If you still don't want to do it though, I'll pass and let Saga, Kai, or Timewalker take over.
