Also...I really didn't like Pulaski. She was like a caricature only with bigotry turned up to 11, which didn't sit well with me then or now.

The marina story is very interesting, mirrored years later with the garret Wang vs Jennifer lien story behind the scenes.

Last I heard, they were planning to let Speciecs 8472 kill Ensign Kim at the end of season 3 (thereby sealing his lowly rank forever), but instead decided to axe Kes because Garrett Wang won some Peoples Magazine sexy men poll, and they decided to keep him hoping it would boost ratings...or something

That would be exactly it. Nothing new to add really, it just echoes here.

I remember reading somewhere how Diana Muldaur's character on another show was written off in a screw-you-kinda way by the writers by having her character enter an elevator to find no elevator and only an elevator shaft. I think there is a hilarious clip of it on youtube... here it is

I always like Dr. Pulaski, but I thought it was odd why Dr. Crusher left the show to run Starfleet Medical. And I was quite glad she came back

THAT'S Diana Muldaur?! I like the more recent look instead of that 1980s hair style. (Yes, I know. It was the 1980s.) Now if Diana Muldaur was a personal friend of Gene Roddenberry, then why didn't she get to star in more episodes or movies?! It is also a shame she was never really mentioned that much after season 2. A subspace message to Captain Picard from Commodore Pulaski would be nice.
