Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

That was an amazing episode! So many cool references, and it was so exciting to see our characters traveling a parallel world! And so many people appeared in it! I just wish I hadn't been spoiled on the Supergirl cameo beforehand. That would have been amazing if I hadn't known beforehand.

Isn't the term "multiverse" sometimes used to describe that various fictional characters exist simultaneously in conflicting universes (productions; comics, tv-series, etc.)? You could argue that every incarnation of DC characters are always part of the same multiverse, but the characters have only actually crossed over to a subset of the universes. This takes into account the real world aspects of production a bit more than just depending on the creators to define "the multiverse" for us.

Multiverse = Multiple Universes.

I assumed Mom & Dad = Henry and Nora, and Dad = Joe(seph).

Right, there are several different logical possibilities. I just mean that 'divorce and remarriage' is probably the least logical assumption of them all. Plenty of completely mundane reasons why someone might have a phone that looks like that.

If you've gotten this far into the thread, then you should know that the "divorce and remarriage" theory is no longer an issue. Nothing to see here, move along.

No proof to suggest that this could have happened, but what if The Reverse Flash assumed Henry Allen's identity?

That might explain the footage from the 1990s era series seen inside the universal bridge.

Barry Earth 2 is as much as a caricature of a super nerd as Clark Kent.

It'd definitely a red herring.

Was Earth 1 Barry ignoring the prescription lenses Earth 2 Barry had, or does earth 1 wear contacts, or were those glasses sporting clear lenses the whole time because earth 2 Barry is a hipster douche or a Super Villain/Hero.

No one else is thinking Crime Syndicate?

Lots of divergence points that might cause Barry-2 to need specs whilst Barry-1 doesn't. Much more close-range vision needed keeping Iris in focus during sex, for starters.

Plus, being serious, Barry-1's super-speed healing might have corrected any issues he was developing - not sure if any of the scenes he got prior to the accelerator going foom would have required him to be wearing specs, and he COULD have had contacts in. Earth-2 seems to have a retro-futuristic vibe so specs probably just fit the style better than contacts.

Anyone else wonder how you call someone other than those 6 people on that phone?
Say...next to those names was a set of buttons. call me crazy, but maybe you pick up the receiver and press those in some combination in order to reach other people.

It's a mystery...

Great episode and things are moving along to an exciting final next week. But oh.... we're still on episode 13 and this thing will probably be dragged out for another 10 episodes.

That's the thing, there are no numbers to dial, just 6 names and buttons next to those names. It doesn't look like you can call anyone else. See.

I watched the new episode this morning and I loved it.
I knew about the Supergirl cameo, so it wasn't a surprise, but I still got a big kick out of it. I didn't know about the '90s Flash show clip though, so that was a fun little surprise.
I loved all of the different doppelgangers. Lawton was a big surprise. I got a big kick out of Reverb too. I wonder if him shooting out the vibrations means we'll see Cisco work on developing those powers too?
So was it the Earth-2 Stein that was in control of Deathstorm? He made a comment about Ronnie being buried, so wouldn't that mean Stein was in control?
I was wondering about the phone too. Maybe they have operators, and you just go through them if you don't want to talk to one of the people on the buttons?
I loved the whole, overall retro-future vibe they gave E-2.

No, Barry asked if Stein was still in there, and it was Ronnie who said that he was keeping Stein buried.
