The Shannara Chronicles

How is this show doing in ratings, anyone know? I'm quite attached to it. If it gets cancelled I might read the books (maybe). I like not knowing what is going to happen. GoT was better for me when it moved past book storylines.

I looked into it and the ratings declined during the third and fourth episodes but went back up with the fifth.

The reviews haven't been great. Not horrible just not great.

Better?

Yes, this ep. introduced the Reaper and he's nigh unstoppable. And the quest becomes more of a race. Although there shoudl've been more drama to the scene where Wil couldn't use the stones, it was an important story point.

Well don't tell me because, spoilers, but I just thought he couldn't use the stones because he had gloves on

so that huge thing with horns was a reaper?

Also please help me, all the men look the same in this show and the only reason I remember Arion is because he was on Neighbours. So at what point did the changling take him? Who was having the nightime romance at the start? What happened when the dude went into the little hut thing and others followed, ten years ago?

Looks like the changling only took on the appearance of Arion so it could get close to the King to do what it did. 10 years ago: The nighttime romance was between Ander (the kings other son) and Tilton. (who is now a commander of the elven army). The hut? stone hut? looked like a secret entrance to the palace and how the gnomes got in and killed Amberle's father, the kings 3rd son.

As a fan of Elfstones I was hoping this would be good, its barely recognisable from the book though and the characters dont seem the smartest tools in the box. The worst part for me though is Cephelo the rapist....he actually tries to rape Amberle and is only stopped by his daughter who saves her for the money she is promised....and then later on he is all buddy buddy with Wil and Amberle follows his lead in Pykon....wtf

It was and it looks nothing like the books, in the books it appeared as a hooded grim reaper type figure. It was extremey fast despite its size, it moved as well as the best Elven hunter. It literally snatched people out of the air, if you found them later they turned up dead and broken.

Wanted this show to be great, but turning out to be such a disappointment. So much material to work with, and they've blown it off I favor of generic crap. They've spent like 10 minutes on the quest that drives the book, haven't even started the epic holding battle the elves should be fighting while they wait for the quest to succeed, just boring nonsense instead.

And the amount of human civilization stuff around is annoying. We get it, it's Earth. But both thousands of years later and about 20 years, given what we see. Hints were goodness, but now we've got barn dances with lights, speakers, records and guns? Come on....

Legend of the Seeker played fast and loose with the material, and went a little generic fantasy, but at least stayed consistent and within the world it was playing in. This one is all over the place and just doesn't feel like it has a reason to exist.

The way the leftover "old world" has been handled is pretty stupid and annoying. The thing that sold it for more how horrible was when Wil made a joke about a janitor.

Reallly????? Reeeeeeaaaaaslllllyyyyyyy?????

God.

I actually enjoyed their showing of Star Trek: TMP, especially when they booed Spock because his pointy ears made him look like an elf.

Ugh. My stupid DVR didn't record this week's episode. And naturally MTV has stopped airing reruns of the show, the way they've been doing every week before now. And it's not on Hulu. And it's not on mtv.com Apparently I can watch it on the mtv phone app if I had a sign in information for my cable provider but I don't know where that is...
