Except for space considerations and brevity, it would've been very easy to put some of the positive remarks Peters made about specific fan film enterprises into the article. Those quotes could've been followed with, "Mr. Peters also said..." which would've been the negative things. Mr. Peters doesn't have editorial control over the content of his interview, and even if positive remarks were interspersed within it, it doesn't mean he also said some rather hateful things, too. Unless, of course, he had control, and was going to edit those negative remarks out of the interview and replace them with only the positive ones. His problem isn't that the article isn't balanced, it's that it's point of view is tipped in the wrong direction for him.

Haven't seen this yet but I also haven't seen podcast communications yet today.

Would you have him on? I am questioning it on Twitter, I assume it would be under the same guidelines that you would have peters on (Counsel's permission)

I don't make the scheduling calls (note: we will probably address this on Sunday). I imagine we would push for confirmation of counsel's knowledge of the event. However, at this point, Mr. Burnett is not a named a defendant. Perhaps he never will be; I certainly don't know how it all may eventually shake out. Asking for a note from Mr. Peters's attorneys would be absurd unless they were also representing Mr. Burnett.

Axanar was going to be called Star Trek: Of Alec Peters and Men at one point, until the Renegades lot got wind of it and threatened to sue for copyright infringement.

So it's "Klingon Week" at Axanar according to the last two captain's logs on the Axanar Productions site. A look at everything Klingon that is associated with the movie.

"Klingon Week" begs a question: No matter how much they alter the costumes, the shape of the ships, and the look of the Klingons, if they still call them, "Klingons," and they are a key element of the story -- the central baddies, which was essentially their role in TOS -- then how's that transformative? Their lawyers are trying to dig them out of a hole, but they keep shoveling dirt back in. It always leaves me shaking my head.

And that bridge is clearly a Klingon bridge. Nothing transformative there.
