He never actually denies that he said the things posted. Even if he did say some good things, he still said the nasty stuff too. I also notice that he was just complimenting one specific aspect of the series, not the whole series themselves.

It's true, folks. No fan film would exist today if it wasn't for Lord Alex.

It's a little known fact, but Alec is actually responsible for the creation of film. And books. And language. And the world. He is truly a God amongst men.

Except for space considerations and brevity, it would've been very easy to put some of the positive remarks Peters made about specific fan film enterprises into the article. Those quotes could've been followed with, "Mr. Peters also said..." which would've been the negative things. Mr. Peters doesn't have editorial control over the content of his interview, and even if positive remarks were interspersed within it, it doesn't mean he also said some rather hateful things, too. Unless, of course, he had control, and was going to edit those negative remarks out of the interview and replace them with only the positive ones. His problem isn't that the article isn't balanced, it's that it's point of view is tipped in the wrong direction for him.

You left out fire and the wheel. Don't make Alec have to call the police to file a lawsuit because you didn't give him credit for all the stuff he created.

Alec posted this on the fan film production group:

My point was that Axanar uses professionals behind and in front of the camera and thus you get a different quality of work than ST: NV or STC. And THAT is why Paramount sees Axanar as a threat.

Alec

Translation: "I'm not saying those other productions are inferior, I'm just saying they're inferior."

Haven't seen this yet but I also haven't seen podcast communications yet today.

Would you have him on? I am questioning it on Twitter, I assume it would be under the same guidelines that you would have peters on (Counsel's permission)

I don't make the scheduling calls (note: we will probably address this on Sunday). I imagine we would push for confirmation of counsel's knowledge of the event. However, at this point, Mr. Burnett is not a named a defendant. Perhaps he never will be; I certainly don't know how it all may eventually shake out. Asking for a note from Mr. Peters's attorneys would be absurd unless they were also representing Mr. Burnett.

We'll have to cogitate about this. Many thanks for asking (and if the quotes look wonky, it's because multiquote is being mean to me).

Peters has some serious personality issues. All those people from Phase II committed to helping him bring his vision to life and he tossed them under the bus.

I still don't understand what his worshippers see in him...
They're blinded by nuHate.

So it's "Klingon Week" at Axanar according to the last two captain's logs on the Axanar Productions site. A look at everything Klingon that is associated with the movie.

"Klingon Week" begs a question: No matter how much they alter the costumes, the shape of the ships, and the look of the Klingons, if they still call them, "Klingons," and they are a key element of the story -- the central baddies, which was essentially their role in TOS -- then how's that transformative? Their lawyers are trying to dig them out of a hole, but they keep shoveling dirt back in. It always leaves me shaking my head.
And that bridge is clearly a Klingon bridge. Nothing transformative there.
