Exactly. I have no sympathy for them because of their actions, so if CBS/Paramount crushes the people up top at Axanar, I won't lose any sleep over it. Frankly, the cultish nature around it needs to die now.
I try to be an understanding person. I try to be patient. I try to be kind.
But this is a fan film.
This isn't the next great masterpiece. It's not going to launch anyone to the top of the A-list. It's not going to change how millions of people see the world or themselves. It's not going to redefine the art of cinema or the world of Star Trek.
But even if it were something spectacular instead of a fan film that only a small subset of fans will care--or even know--about, it's still only a movie.
If you're threatening people in any way over a movie, whether it be personal threats or legal threats, then you really, really, really need to go home and rethink your life. As in: get one.
Seriously. It's a movie.

Good luck proving in court it's just like any fan film out there.
Yup! Axanar is now done. Renegades, Phase 2 and Continues are going to love him for dissing them directly. He's lucky to get to sell props on the street for a living after this.

I just checked PACER and the last filing was on January 21 (the extension of time to answer), so the unnamed second legal team has not yet officially made an appearance.
The second legal team is probably Crane, Poole & Schmidt. I could be wrong.
I don't think CBS will C&D the rest of the films, but hey Alec, thanks for throwing all the fan productions under the bus.
