Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 1

The robot chicken nerd was correct about how exciting the plot "seems" but putting up with the "I'm so in love with you" bullshit is a hard road.

I also wish there were a little more ethnic and gender diversity on the team. It's only got two women as well as two non-Caucasians. (And logically they should've cast a Hawkman who was more plausibly Egyptian.)

A new show doesn't feel official until we get the Diversity Report.

We saw a Photograph of the two of them from the 1920s, and their kid recognized them instantly.

Although the kid was a hell of a lot more African than either of his parents.

Their children could be enchanted to see their souls, and not just their flesh?

Although (the continent of) Africa and Egypt are right next to each other, and Egypt was a powerful place at one point who harvested slaves well and often, so really weird exotic stuff could have been included into their local genepool without any additional effort.

Although if we the audience are also seeing their soulselves and not what their meat suits look like, it might explain why Kendra's parents didn't put her in her braces for half her teenage life.

(I'm still a little bitter about how long I was in braces for. It felt like forever.)

It's a bit confused because they reincarnate but they use the same actors in the Egyptian flashbacks.

Yes, exactly. Not only that, but their son the professor recognized them on sight, and his parents in the photo looked just like them. They don't just reincarnate, they look the same in every lifetime.

That's just a visual conceit for the audience, IMO. Streamlines the story and the budget.

Well, it's not just that. Again, their son recognized them on sight, so we know they do look the same in-universe. And I'm sure there will be episodes to come where they travel to the past and get mistaken for their earlier incarnations.

Eh, the Golden Age Hawkman from the comics was a blond-haired Egyptian in his previous life....

I'm hoping in the absence of Batman that we get Midnighter - and then they can slot him onto the team for a potential second season, alongside Jonah Hex, Wildcat and Katana (from when he was still an active vigilante) :)

Now that Justice League Dark seems to be in limbo, I would be willing to bet that season 2 will focus on the mystical characters of the DC universe with Constantine as one of the cast.

Might be problematic if they're reincarnated in Ancient China or Africa.

Well, China has always had plenty of immigrants and visitors from all over. The Roman Empire sent a few envoys to the Han Dynasty. And, well, Egypt is in Africa. Always has been.

No harder than explaining why someone born in Egypt 4000 years ago looks like Falk Hentschel or Ciara Renee or Caspar Crump.
