Spoilers Arrow - Season 4

Deadline:
Echikunwoke also will be seen in Lifetime’s upcoming straight-to-series drama Damien and she recurred recently on Fox’s The Following. Other credits include ABC’s Mind Games, Showtime’s House Of Lies and feature A Good Day To Die Hard.

She also played Hyde's half-sister on That '70s Show, and she was the adult version of the super baby Isabelle on The 4400.

Well, despite leaving the WWF fandom in the early 90s, I was thoroughly entertained by Amell's hijinks in the WWE this year. I approve.

Mark

Oliver: "BARRY! HELP! A Flock of Seagulls just kidnapped Felicity, my sister, and Diggle, and is about to kill them all! We need you!"

Barry: "Sorry, dude, my long-lost half-step-brother just showed up at Joe's Christmas get-together, and it's pretty awkward, so my plate's kinda full at the moment. Best of luck, though, and I'll mail you some of our cookies if you like."

I thought we'd all agreed the person in the grave was Laurel. Right?? Right. Good.

I could see them doing something like...

Felicity: Isn't she the meta you and Barry investigated last year? The one with the mystical totem that gives her animal powers?

Diggle: Wait, when was this?

Ollie: It's a long story.
That would be incredibly lame. The Agent Carter series writers quite rightly didn't bother squaring their show with the previous one-shot, and neither should the Arrow writers sweat Vixen's one-shot. (Which I tried to watch, but the animation was just too crap-looking.)

I found it a bit hard to believe that she somehow managed to get all shot up and Ollie didn't get nicked, even though he was lying on top of her and then even more exposed while taking control of the car.
That magic tattoo he's got obviously repels bullets. At some point he's going to use its spell for real, and he'll be shot dead the very next episode. :p

Is nobody commenting on the fact that Malcom just became irredeemable evil again by helping Randal Savage (somehow) back to life presumably and thereby causing doom for the entire world and making the Legends team necessary in the first place?
Well, Ollie did have that moment at the end of the third season saying he'd never forgive Malcolm for the evil stuff he's done. (Doesn't seem to mean he can't tolerate him being around and helping out, however. And it didn't stop him from keeping up his end of the bargain to make him Rha's.)

... Anyone else laugh when he told that woman "My mother was a complicated person, but she would never have bribed a pregnant fling of mine to bugger off?" He's talking about the woman who helped kidnap her own son and husband and aided a plot to destroy a large chunk of the city, right? :rommie:

It's time, once again, for some AV Clubbers' snark!

So - the tie in novel is supposed to be out in February after being delayed for the fourth (fifth?) time, and outside of the author and title we STILL don't now anything about it, and no reviews have slipped out. I'm thinking that we might be looking forward to another delay.

(iirc, originally due out last Feb, delayed to March, then August, October, January this year now February).

I just realized how odd it is that Ollie uses a voice distorter in front of strangers, but none of the rest of his crew bothers to....

I'm disappointed in the direction this show has gone. This season was supposed to be a more optimistic new beginning, with the Arrow of Starling City giving way to the Green Arrow of Star City. But it's just kept getting darker and darker, and it's all about revenge and torture porn again. They even had a man beating up his own brother. This is not what I wanted the show to be anymore.

And you'd think someone who calls himself "Anarky" wouldn't be so troubled by the Green Arrow's inconsistent, catch-and-release-and-catch behavior. Seems the sort of thing that would make a lover of chaos feel right at home. And why was Darhk so quick to believe Green Arrow about saving his family? He didn't see any evidence, didn't talk to them, he just took Ollie at his word.

Well, one good thing: My local CW affiliate has finally begun broadcasting in HD (or in whatever format it is that shows up as letterboxed on my old, non-widescreen TV rather than fullscreen with the sides of the image cut off), so I no longer have to wait until the next day to watch on Hulu.

I agree. I only watch this show out of habit at this point. With the hope that it finally do things I like again. But its not happening at all.

The difference between "Arrow" and "Green Arrow" is completely meaningless. Its a pattern of the writers saying things are progressing and changing and its just talk.

Another is being in its 4th season even the stunts and action scenes don't even impress me any more. When this show started it was amazing to see feature level action scenes on a weekly tv series. Now its just seems very repetitive.

Of course the big problem is there are limits to how much you can do with a vigilante with a bow and arrow. When there are other shows from the same producers with heroes with superpowers and vast mythologies. Yet Oliver is still trying to save his city and has failed over and over again! They have had the character admit that but that does not fix the problem. He has had no real long term victories.

I completely agree here. The fight scenes the first two years were very well done, with excellent use of grappling and holds from Ollie that really made it feel like you were watching a trained martial artist. Now it feels like it's just generic punching. And, weirdly to say about a series featuring Green Arrow, they rely on the bow WAY too much. He doesn't need to be shooting arrows at every enemy. Especially an enemy like Darkh who has already proven to have a defense against them.

It's just really disappointing to see the stunt work degrade so much. (And, unrelated to Arrow, it's one of my great fears about Daredevil season 2. I hope they are able to maintain the intensity of the combat from the episodes before he donned the formal costume.)

So Felicity is set to become Oracle. I should've seen this coming.

Yeah the fight scenes are looking a little more like Disney stage plays. They need new choreographers.

I'm excited that Vixen is joining the show though.

Considering Felicity's anger level at the end, I'm pretty sure it's her mum in the grave. Her death would be an assault on Lance as much as on Ollie and the rest of the team.

I read a comment from a producer saying that they weren't going to use that name. It's possible that this plotline is just playing with our expectations, that her paralysis will be temporary. Although it would be cool if it were permanent and the show tackled living with a disability in a sensitive and inclusive way.

I hope its permanent...for the acting sake.

And if she's not Oracle... then maybe IBM or Microsoft?
