I watched the 'making of' for Empire Strikes Back on videodisc repeatedly years ago and saw bits of that videodisc used in this retrospective. Of course, these days we have Youtube to see those original 'making of' documentaries for the original trilogy.

Or the Blu-ray release, which features them.

Ahh...

The original Star Wars documentary with that cheesy disco sequence, showing how much impact the original movie made...

I thought it was cheesy back in the 80s and it remains cheesy now. Alas, it's still history, though...

Enjoyed that - cheers for posting. Some of the games segments brought back a few happy (and some frustrating) memories! :)

3 fan-made documentaries on the Original Trilogy, by the talented Jambe Davdar...

Building Empire - https://vimeo.com/36158111

Returning To Jedi - https://vimeo.com/36474256

And thank your for posting those.;) I'll have to check those out.

Meco's Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk was a major hit after all. It made number one on the Billboard Hot 100 about two weeks after I was born.
