CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

I only reference the amount, continuously, because as a donor, I want to be upfront..... Basically I called Axanar out on all this stuff on FB, and Terry, said by our records you only donated 15.... Thinking he would shame me into silence.... So now I wear my $15.00 like an ares patch on my sleve

That’s nice. I donated $25, which I know is small, but at the time it was a lot of money for me. I thought they valued all donors. :cardie:

From a professional standpoint, all donations (no matter the amount) should be valued. Granted different amounts get different awards, but no one should feel like their contribution is less because of the amount they contributed; we don't know the circumstances of everyone.

And basically I got the vibe that they didn't think my $15.00 was worthy of me griping over....hence my badge of honor..... :rommie: :rommie:

Spotted this on Youtube

Because it's a fan made film. No one is making a dime from it. Under the law you're allowed to make these types of work. As long as you're not making money from it.

Just in case you are all tired of reading and want something to listen too, here’s a short video podcast by MundaneMatt.

Somewhere out there some CBS lawyer took a screen shot JUST LIKE THIS to be used in court REAL SOON....
This makes me wonder: Are screenshots really admitted as evidence in a court of law? I mean, what with them being so easily manipulated and all.

Likely not, but the lawyers could subpoena Twitter to get the deleted tweets as evidence. But such tweets aren't really evidence of anything other than their attitude and public posturing and likely not germane to any legal arguments.

P.S. The popcorn could use some more salt.

Indeed, I can look down upon you because I donated $10 more then you. :p

Although, because I donated more I suppose that makes me more the fool for having invested in this venture. :alienblush:

One thing is evident: Burnett's tweets show a level of delusion regarding the situation.

The popcorn great, thanks for asking.

How’s the coffee?

Wait a minute; this tweet is not real is it?

Ah, okay, thanks for clearing that up for me.

Now it looks like some here are taking my little demonstation a bit too seriously.

ETA: Kind of scary, when you think about it. How easily we accept visual “evidence” as genuine.
