Love the train, T'Bonz! The tree looks lovely, too.

Also, I assembled a Minion gingerbread house for my Minion-loving Mom:

She loves it!

I love that green velvet dress on the doll. My mom has a few of the dolls. She may even have that very dress on one of them. It's so pretty!

^My mom loves that doll, Molly, more than any other American Girl, because she had clothes like that growing up (born 1942). That green dress is one of her favorites.

I thought about adding Avengers/Marvel to the tree this year, but I couldn't find enough ornaments. Maybe next year I'll have a Trek-Who-Marvel-Mas Tree!

The Camel cigs make the pic. :guffaw:

ETA: These fellas joined my Trek-Who-Mas tree, officially making it a Trek-Who-Marvel-Mas tree!

A cutie Captain America is coming, as is a Hawkeye ornament.

So, it's that time of year when everyone busts out the holiday decorations: trees, candles, lights, wreaths, Menorahs, Santas, you name it. Show us your holiday spirit!

I freaking LOVE the holidays and break out all my holiday decorations right after Thanksgiving.

So, here's some of the highlights, geek-style.
My friend got me a little tree to put my Doctor Who decorations on...but I think I might have over-done it. I need a bigger tree.

Put up the old Star Trek Wreath, which is starting to really show its age. I might need to redo it at some point.

My little tree

Latest edition to my holiday collection: this adorable Jim Shore figure. My best pal sent it to me. Junior approved.

Why do you need the bigger treee? ) I think that this one is suitable for you. I don`t like big trees as they were felled in the forest. I`d fight for the ecological heritage and for the Green Peace... So little one is better and the best variant is the artificial Christmas tree)

^ Auntiehill was talking about all the ornaments she has. I got the impression she has so many she would need a big tree, just to describe how much decorations she has, etc.

And what do you mean, "ecological heritage"? Also, getting Christmas trees from local tree farms would have significantly smaller carbon footprint than if everyone has an artificial tree as they often are products of fossil fuels, and usually made overseas (that's a lot of oil to make it and to transport it all over the world....). I checked it out and studies shows that unless you keep it for many years, like 20 years, it would be greener to get a real tree, especially if it is local. I doubt many people are able to keep the same tree for ten years (small ones maybe, but not 6-footers or taller that families with kids would get.

My impression is that auntiehill likes trees with different themes, and there's nothing wrong with that.

As for keeping artificial ones for a long time... my family had a 6-foot tree that we used for over 30 years. I've got a couple of much smaller ones now - a 12" and an 18" tree. And with two cats, a real tree would be clawed to pieces in a very short time, not to mention climbed on, tipped over, ornaments either broken, played with, or otherwise damaged or disarranged.
