Looks cool, I really like the nacelles!

Also, the size reference animé people are really helpful to get a sense of scale.

First of all, wow. Do you do this kind of thing professionally like Vektor?

But what's with the picture above? I'd understand doing it to show size scale. But there are chairs. Is there a forcefield in place overhead?

It's not a chair, it's a surface detail. You'd slip right off and fall on the floor (hull?) if you tried to sit on that.

That said, nice work! I immediately recognized it as one of the concept art ships for STO, before I even looked at the link.

Chairs lol that's stretching it there. . . As BJ said they are detail elements and have noting to do with rumprests or other ass related resting lodgings. More to do with bracketing for as yet created hull details.

I am considering what to do with the nacelles as right now I am having a rethink about the strut placement and nacelles. HOWEVER this wont be for a while as I got my replacement cintiq and am busy mucking with it. It does mean I have a nice 2560X1440 (wish they stuck to the 16:10 IE 1600p) which beats the limiting lately 1920X1200. Example I ended up spanning max across both of my 24s in portrait mode to get more pixels in my viewports for the TOS connie. Less of that too far over or too far back crap as I am moving stuff about in viewport. . .though I wonder if a higher DPI mouse might help in this aspect. (max 2013 vs 2010 suffers this feeling of overshoot much more)

still gotta wonder how nice it would be to model on one of those korean 4k 40" monitors. . . . hahah.

Lots of ugly going on and just way too thick in places but a bit more refined than before. I think the hunch along the top side is going to get flattened out more to offset the main body of the nacelle further up than it is now.

I have also decided I need to clean up the ass end of all those greeble bits in between the hull plates. Just too much crap going on in there.

I do not play the game so I have no idea what that is. if it is similar or is the same as the drawing I linked to earlier then yeah, if not then no, as the work is based of the image linked.

I cannot inline it as it lacks the php required to resize it to not break the forum. IE "?w=500"

Dang it, I missed the link in the first post....;)

It looks like it is based on the escort; the link even has the designation 'Star Trek Online' on the top left.

That's cool. Various ships are usually inspired by others. For example, the Akira-class is basically the NX-01 flipped around. And the Nebula was inspired by the Miranda-classes.

Do your thing.;)

Yeah it is STO concept art sheets, like the many Eaves released. That is about as far as my knowledge of STO is though. HAH. Id say more of a interpretation than a inspiration of I think, but I guess that is up to the viewer for the work.

Update: alteration of the aft impulse pit and more nacelles.

Ignore the warp grids and bussard grills as they are reuse materials and not tuned yet. I am still not sure what I want to do with these parts. Too many TOS era ships of late I think :p

Probably the last update of the year :p Mostly small changes and fooling with the warp guts etc. Cloned them onto the ship to give everyone a look as to how they appear on the ship itself.
