So I guess that means Kirk's sweet leg flip was all for nothing.......
True. Later fans, and even the Okudas at one point, called the pet a Targ after the TNG episode came out. But the novelization was explicit about calling it a Warrigul. The way I see it, if the Targ is a Klingon dog, the Warrigul is a Klingon cat of some kind. And Kruge's liked scritchies.According to the novelization, Kruge's pet is a Warrigul, not a Targ(it still isn't called anything).
Not too surprising, since Targs weren't invented until the first season of TNG, three years later.
If Malz was going to fit in anywhere on Earth of the 1980's, it would be San Fransisco.I like the idea that Maltz was still on the ship when they took back off from Vulcan, and ended up stranded on Earth in the late 1980's by getting off the ship while no one was paying attention.![]()
A Targ is a Klingon dog and a Warrigul is a breed of Klingon dog? A klingon answer to the pitbull perhaps? Maybe a Klingon wolf of some kind?
And even better pork chops.pigs actually make good pets.
